Title: Great magnifying glass and light – strange desk mount
Review: I’ll start out by saying that I love the magnifying glass and light part, for those who just want that extra magnification for tiny objects, this is great. For those who are losing their vision at a far too early age, this is fantastic! The LED lights and functions are perfect, no complaints. Lights up my work area very well and I can actually see the tiny details on the smaller objects I’m handling!Overall, I’ll say it’s a decent build. Size is great for desk, but it’s got some issues for sure. This is something that feels like it was designed by two or more people who were forbidden from talking to each other and could only communicate specifications through the power of interpretive dance. One of whom kept dropping his foot too low and communicated the dimensions of the desk mount wrong.I mainly got this to use as a desk mountable magnifier/lamp since I didn’t want the large base taking up space unnecessarily. As it’s been pointed out by others, the desk clamp was designed oddly, mainly because the stem of the lamp arm doesn’t fit correctly. What wasn’t obvious at first is there is a compression sleeve inside the desk clamp opening, you need to remove this and slide onto the stem and THEN slide that into the desk clamp.While that may not seem like a big deal, it’s oddly done because there’s a tension screw on the clamp like the weighted base, but the desk clamp tension screw can’t go into the hole of the stem like the weighted base does, especially if you have the spacer/sleeve over the stem.I ended up leaving the sleeve off and using the tension screw to hold the stem in place. The clamp itself is fine and stays in place on the edge of my desk perfectly well. The weighted base is decent, but the non-skid pad was hastily pasted onto it, so it wasn’t centered very well.The price? I’m a bit divided on that, for nearly $30 I’m unsure I’d recommend this with the slightly shoddy assembly. If you don’t mind the odd design in a couple places, this could be worth it.

Review: I have had this product for about 3 months and I really enjoy it. I find it sturdy and the lights are bright. I use it for craft projects and odd jobs like cleaning my phone or painting my nails. I use it at least once a week and I find it easy to store.

Review: Arrived on time , and works quite wellHaving 3 settings from bright intense white to soft yellowish tint is great for avoiding eye strain over long periods of reading , building model vehicle’s or just picking slivers out of your fingers.. my only complaint would be that the metal arm is made of quite thin metal and the lens is plastic and will scratch if your not careful for bing at the low end of the price point for theese type of lights I think it makes a pretty good light for my hobby desk
