Title: Happy enough that I bought a second one *** Update ***
Review: I was very disappointed when my old extending arm magnifying lamp finally gave up after more than 15 years. There are a lot of choices out there for these, so after a good bit of research I landed on this one. The length of the arms is excellent and the give great reach to place the head where you need it. The glass seems to be of excellent quality and is very clear with no distortion. The switches have a solid, high quality feel to them and I particularly like having the ability to change the warmth and adjust the brightness. There are two things I could suggest as improvements: 1) The head pivots up and down and rotates, but does not move straight side to side. That would give even more freedom of positioning. 2) The diameter of the glass and head overall could be a bit bigger. Aside from those two details, the lamp functions very well. Given that I knew about these when I made my purchase, I don’t feel it would be fair to downgrade the rating. After using this lamp for a few weeks I decided to buy a second one, which gives me great lighting on my modeling bench.*** UPDATE *** Shortly after I submitted this review, the second lamp I purchased began to fail. The light, even adjusted to maximum brightness, suddenly became quite dim. In addition, it also began to randomly flicker. Although I was past the 30 day return window, Amazon made good on it and returned the lamp for the full purchase price. Now I have to decide if I want to go with the same lamp again or not. Nevertheless, I am very happy with Amazon’s customer service.

Title: Great performance and value
Review: Very pleased with the quality and features of this economically priced magnifying lamp. It checks all my boxes: easily adjustable dimmer & color, glass lens, & the hinge points have winged levers, not screw heads, to adjust tension. After my experiences with other versions of this type lamp I was thinking I’d have to spend a lot more to get what I wanted. Fortunately, I took another chance with this one & was rewarded with great performance at an affordable $30 price point. If your experience is like mine you won’t be disappointed.

Title: Size and head mounted controls.
Review: Great light, much better size for real work than a lot of the ones that show up for a little less money. Magnifier is clear and the continuous head mounted controls for brightness and color temperature are great, right where you need them. Recommended to several friends and they bough 3 amount them and are all happy with them. The one said his wife loves hers for jigsaw puzzles, using the color temperature to best see the colors in the puzzle.

Title: The right choice
Review: This lamp is exactly what we needed to illuminate our jig saw puzzle pieces. It easily and firmly attached to our table. The light is good & can be dimmed or changed to a different hue. The arm adjusts easily and stays where we put it. We use the magnifier to read tiny writing on labels, etc. We like that the controls are “manual”, nothing electronic to go wrong! If this one dies, we would definitely get another one.

Title: Not very bright but good design
Review: It’s not very bright and the magnification is less than I had hoped for. Size is good and it feels more sturdy than my last light. Design is good and functionality would be great if it were brighter but is just ok. Worth considering. Overall average.

Review: Lamp seems very well and studily built. Image is very clear and perfect magnification for what I wanted (repair of items). Adjustable intensity is great. I won’t use the variable colour but that might be useful for craft projects. Also VERY good value for money. Definitely recommend.

Review: would be nice to have a bubble in the lens to have greater magnification but it really helps you see the 10xhas a dust cover to keep it clean, the construction is entirely metal, warm and LED light with easy to access controls and the fact that they are knobs means you have greater control than some stupid button you cycle through presets and u wont have to cycle though them to go back or turn it off especially with the $20 off coupon this was a bargain
