Title: Good value for the money…
Review: I believe this lamp is good value for the price. I needed to replace my old fluorescent magnifying lamp which was bigger, heavier, less magnification and got very warm when I used it for a long time. I needed a magnifying lamp to do electronics work on very small components. This lamp was a good choice. I like the fact that the 12X lens is glass and not plastic (good clear image). The LED’s are bright and don’t get hot like the fluorescent lamp. I also like the 10 levels of brightness control and 5 levels of “color temperature” control. It is not as big as my previous magnifying lamp but the 4″ diameter lens has a reasonable working area with little need to reposition the lens. The focal point is about 4″ under the lens, so I can position the lamp above the board I’m soldering, have both hands free and 4″ of working room. I comes with two ways to mount the lamp (a heavy base and a mounting clamp). They both work as long a you don’t extend the lamp too far from the mounting point. I ended up drilling a hole in a piece of wood to hold the lamp and mounting that to my lab bench. That worked better for me because I often extend the lamp far from the base. Even with this minor issue, I think the lamp is good value for the money.

Title: Great for close up work.
Review: The light has 3 different shades of brightness and are easily adjusted. I was able to adjust the angle of the light to match the position I wanted. Magnifier is very strong with out blurring. The only downside to the lamp is there’s no regular plug. It has to be ordered separately. It has to be connected to a usb port to use. I used the stand but it can attached to a table. It’s fairly stable. The cost is reasonable.

Title: Almost Perfect
Review: I would’ve given this very nice lighted magnifier five stars, but for two things.The first is the weighted base. It is not weighted enough. It lifts up from the surface it’s sitting on, and teeters on one edge when the lamp arm is just halfway extended. This makes the light very unstable in this configuration. The clamp mount does hold the light securely, however.I was also disappointed to find out that it is strictly USB powered, with no provision for plugging into a standard 110/120V outlet. Apparently, an adapter is available at no cost, but the purchaser must provide the Amazon purchase order number and a screenshot of a product review in order to obtain it.Otherwise, this is a very nice item. The five step brightness control and dimming features are nice, albeit a bit of overkill, in my opinion.I am getting on in years, and my eyesight isn’t what it used to be. I look forward to using this device to help me do some of the detailed modeling work I enjoyed when I could see better.

Title: Lighted magnifying stand
Review: Amazing, Work light! Good quality construction and it’s made from metal so it is solid and the base is heavy to allow the light to move and not unbalance the light itself. Multiple brightness levels allows easy and perfect lighting conditions for my small jewelry and figurines hobby. Where variation in light is needed. The work light has a magnifier that is super-powerful providing 12x the magnification. The value to price ratio is excellent! This is a great work light at the price point.

Title: Mostly ok
Review: Magnification and light are both excellent. I would have given it a higher rating except the base is not heavy enough to hold the magnifying glass if it is tilted horizonatally.. That makes it a problem is you’re using it to do repairs on a flat surface such as a worktable.
