Title: Great replacement LED magnifying light
Review: For decades, I used a round fluorescent magnifying light that took 10+ tries to start it and was hard to maneuver into position. This newer LED light is fantastic! It comes with a portable base or you case secure it with a clamp. The settings are numerous – old light was on or off. It has a stronger magnifier too. I use this for my HO Train hobby – everything is tiny for an older guy. This light is a joy to use and well made. I appreciate that it is 1/3 the size and weight of the old light it replaced.

Title: Works Well
Review: Found this product to be worth the money, it was relatively inexpensive. I read that a few people had trouble with it breaking at the point where the lamp post goes into the clamp. I can understand this if you do not seat it properly with the base of the lamp post sitting on the tab of the clamp. Which means you will need to position the lamp and clamp in line with what you are working on. Other than that, it’s a nice product.

Title: power cord is short.
Review: This lamp magnifier light is good. will work nicely for soldering circut boards. Only complaint is it will require an extension cord. power cord on lamp is around 4ft[ or less0. Not enough to move the lamp around on the work table using the stand. stand is solid metal and should work great with magnetic helping hands.

Title: Hollow support post
Review: I initially bought this after another one I had stop ped working and this was nearly exactly what I was looking for. The Magnification is great and the light options work out quite well. BUT here is the BAD NEWS…The frame where it attaches to the table is HOLLOW and has bent and split nearly in half. I had to take a Dowel rod to make sure it stays together which is upsetting to say the least since I have not had this very long at all. I use my light every day for crafting and now I worry if it will hold up. If you screw in the support peg is scratches the enamel like this was made from cheap material. Not sure what I will do but will continue to use it for now but I will probably be getting a different one before long especially if this one breaks.
