Title: It’s a keeper!
Review: What I love: It’s versitile in that it has a wide flat heavy base, or you can switch that out to the sturdy screw clamp. It is bright. It is very well made, and very simple to put together. The center joint or ” elbow” and the one at the magnifier end, are tension-adjustable for easy repositioning, and for staying put once it’s how you want it. What I don’t love; other than the swiveling of the lighted magnifier itself, all the movement is on a single plane, but to be fair, I am mechanically challenged and most people likely would have realized that from the photos. The magnifying glass is only 4 inches, while the lighted ring is a whole inch, so it doesn’t really have as much viewing area as I expected, but as far as structure it is one of the better made items I have purchased on Amazon. Has a classic industrial/steampunk vibe and looks more expensive than the price, in my opinion. Time will have to tell on the durability of the electronics, but the quality of the visible components leads me to think that will be of equal quality standard. It has a USB cord, so you will need your own charging plug-in piece if you intend to connect to an old-fashioned prong style wall socket. It has various light settings on the inline control switch, for changing both color and tone, so it would work great for online sellers who need close ups of tiny items. If it’s for a workbench or desk, it might be ideal, and I expect my husband will be borrowing it.

Title: Proven the best magnifier+light available
Review: Just the ticket! I purchased this for a friend who has lost a degree of sight due to macular degeneration. She is much impressed and finds it to be a significant improvement over all other magnifier+light systems she has received. I purchased this specific unit based primarily on two factors:1) It has a glass lens, not one made of plastic which could be easily scratched, and 2) It’s 15 power lens is of greater magnification capability than all other units I could find. The adjustable lighting modes and intensity are simply icing on the cake — but impressive icing.

Review: I had to return the light. It would not always turn on. Also note, this doesn’t come with a power adapter to go from 110 volt to a USB plug. You have to buy that separately.

Title: Small Size
Review: The unit is smaller than I thought it would be. My old magnifier could reach about three feet and was attached to the back of the desk. I couldn’t use the clamp and the base took up too much space. To solve this problem I drilled a hole in my desk and mounted the arm with a 10mm screw. Now I can swivel the magnifier over my work area.
