Review: Admit it, when you see folks board a plane wearing big over-ear cans with active noise canceling, you’re a tad jealous. I make a game of guessing what they’re listening to with Mrs Patrick – navy suit and red tie guy is obviously doing the audiobook of the latest business best seller, right? Then one flight, my suit seatmate stood up, left his headphones on, and what leaked out was the raunchiest head-banger rock. So much for my intuition. I finally capitulated and bought my own – I’ll leave it to you, dear reader, to guess what I’m listening to.Technical hat on for a minute. The 1Mii E700s tick the right boxes for travel and shop life. They support LDAC and aptX HD for high-res playback, plus aptX Low Latency when paired with a matching transmitter. Hybrid ANC uses four mics to knock down low-frequency rumble – think airplane engines, car droning, shop vac whoosh. Battery is the headline – 54 hours claimed, and a 10-minute top-up nets roughly 5 more hours. The app lets you tune EQ and even dial in how much outside world you want leaking through with transparency mode. When you’re done – drop them in their super-nice case, ready for the next use.On our last hop I tested the E700s against real world noise – HVAC, road noise, and the neighbor who thinks airports are for speakerphone calls. ANC knocked the dull roar down to a polite murmur. Voices still poke through some – physics is stubborn – but transparency mode made a quick chat with a gate agent painless. Comfort was better than expected for the price – the pads are soft, clamp force is friendly, and glasses play nice for a full movie. Sound-wise on LDAC, bass is controlled not boomy, vocals sit forward enough to catch podcast dialog, and treble avoids the sizzling bacon thing that wears you out. Title: LDAC and all 3 AptX modes work great with the 1Mii B03 Bluetooth transmitter.
Review: I use the 1Mii b03 Bluetooth transmitters so that I can keep the house quite whenever I am watching TV while others are sleeping. This works great, but I had noticeable delay with the sound being sent to my regular Bluetooth headphones/ear buds. I needed a Bluetooth headphone that is compatible with the LDAC and the 3 modes of AptX (Low Latency, HD, and Adaptive) connectivity in order to have the sound timing paired with the video output.I ordered these 1Mii E700 Bluetooth wireless noise cancelling over the ear headphones to solve this problem.The 1Mii E700 headphones include a quality carrying/storage case, a USB-A to USB-C cable, and a USB-C to 1/8″ headphone jack cable.The E700 claims a 54-hours of battery life when the noise cancelling (ANC) feature is turned off and 26-hours when ANC is turned on. I have not tested the battery life at this point in time, but I have an upcoming trip where I can put that to a test.LDAC and all 3 AptX modes work great with the 1Mii B03 Bluetooth transmitter. I have an extremely small delay in audio compared to other Bluetooth listening devices. If I was not specifically looking for any sound delay, I would not have noticed it.The sound quality is very good. The automatic noise cancelling (ANC) has 3 modes: On/Transparency/Off. The ANC will be a very welcome feature on flights.The E700 headphone’s sliding size adjustment has etched markings so that they can be quickly and easily adjusted to fit properly out of the case.I like that 1Mii thought to etch the stowed position for the headphones on the inside bottom of the storage/carrying case.The E700 can be used with the “YeeMall” app to allow custom sound settings, switch ambient sound settings, and update firmware.I have only found 2 cons to the 1Mii E700 headphones.1: The over the ear muffs size is a bit small. I don’t have giant sized ears, but the outer edge of my ears touches the inside of the ear pads. This can cause some discomfort after extended use.2: The E700 must be using an older form of Bluetooth technology. 1Mii claims a Bluetooth range of 35′ for the E700 headphones. I can only use the E700 within 20′ of the 1Mii B03 transmitters. Anything over 20′ and the Bluetooth connection becomes unstable. All of my other Bluetooth listening devices have a connectivity range of at least 70′.I deducted 1 Star from my Review Rating for these reasons.Overall, I recommend the 1Mii E700 headphones if you don’t need an extended Bluetooth range.
