Title: Honest review and still testing
Review: I have severe hearing loss in one ear (inverted ear drum ) so hearing in that ear is well below the line on the Spectrum. The other ear is just above the line but my high end frequency range is gone. Without aids, I have trouble hearing direct sound in front, and in crowded environments it’s a swamp of sounds.I have tried the (128 channel DSP) miniature hearing aids which compensate greatly and do work for me ( I can hear a pin drop 1000 meters away) but I refuse on principle to pay over $5,000 even with partial Medicare subsidies. So have been looking for a low cost alternate, having tried several other products, and complaints from my GF I tried this product.This product appears to work for me but here are a few notes…and comments to the factory.1. On arrival the internal batteries were totally discharged, it took several attempts to bump start ( pull power and reinsert) to activate the charging interface. ( the green lEDS need to light up, to show charging still not sure what the floating three bar level indicates)2. The internal sound amplifier levels appear to be set too high, as I am at the lowest level to give me a nominal working gain ( this should be around 50% of the ramp for my condition), if you had better hearing the levels may be too high. if I increase volume the amplifiers overdrive and also start clipping ( cutting of words and can also cause feedback squeal)3. You have to play with ear plug socks to get an acceptable fit ( to small and you get feedback,squeal, to big and ambient sound is cut off and feels like you have a cork in your ear, very uncomfortable. Possibly a hybrid sock with open ports to accommodate ambient and amplified may work better.4. There is no external DSP control interface ( to adjust gains or DSP channel settings), like alternate devices, appears a flat response on all frequencies. Not saying that’s a bad thing but a little EQ adjustment may be helpful.But if you have similar severe hearing loss these may work for you, possibly a version 3 later may add more controls and a more developed product.I intend to evaluate these a little more ( battery life, sturdiness etc) before making a final decision to keep but for now these are not bad for the price.

Title: easy to set up
Review: Bought this for my mother she hears again. Like the baterry life, quality of audio and that the charging pod also has battery. She has no discomfort with or without glasses on. Will recomend to any person that has hearing deficency.
