Title: Better than expected
Review: These shelves are more sturdy and hold up better than I expected. They are cheaper and thinner than other options out there, so I wasn’t expecting a lot. They did go in our garage as storage, so I wasn’t super worried about the look to them. They do hold up and have been keeping our containers in place all year. They are pretty easy to put together and my husband and I were able to snap them together in less than an hour. The plastic that coats the shelves is super annoying and shreds, so that doesn’t look great, but again, not an issue for us. Overall it does the job we needed it for. So much in fact, we bought a second set to finish off our storage.

Title: READ MY TIP FOR ASSEMBLING
Review: READ THIS ASSEMBLY TIP!!! I have 6 of these now. The two foot deep version. I would buy again. They are in the basement. I like that that there are no screws and nuts to hold them together. It comes with a small joke of a plastic hammer to assemble. The first thing you do is throw it away or give to a child to role play Thor. Use a proper rubber mallet, this is important. The assembly process requires patience but once they are together they are tight. I don’t follow the directions completely. Put a shelf board on the bottom frame as soon as it is tapped together. This will keep it squared up as you continue assembly. The shelving material on two of my orders was badly damaged in shipping. I contacted supplier through Amazon and they replaced with just a picture and got me new shelves right away at no cost. The replacements were also damaged but not so much I couldn’t use them. The shelf material is prone to damage and they might want to improve the corner protection of the shelves. Not going five stars because of the repeat damage to components and having to wait for replacements and the assembly process but these are really good shelves.

Title: Like a metal…MDF?
Review: First off, I want to say that you can buy with confidence. My initial package came with damage to the panels from the shipper; not only did Lauxery send a free replacement package, they told me to keep the original and gave me a small credit on the first one! I sent pics & all so that they could recoup from the shipper but really there was no need for them to go so far above & beyond. They were so fast in making it right that the shelves were fully installed with replacement panels three days after the first package arrived. Really A+ customer service.As far as the panels themselves, I’m a fan. MDF sags over time & absorbs moisture, steel seems to always arrive warped and can never be made truly flat again, but these panels are kind of a great marriage of the better qualities the two other types of shelves. They’re metal sheets that sandwich waffled aluminum in between to give them stiffness. So imagine MDF that was impervious to moisture absorption. Don’t know over time but I have a couple shelves with over 200lbs on them, we’ll see. I doubt it’ll sag like MDF though. And they aren’t warped like full steel sheets either. Really cool stuff.When installing the panels make a crinkly sound that’s disconcerting, but after they’re in place you never hear it again. It’s just the waffled aluminum when the panels flex. You don’t hear it while adding or removing items from the shelves.For metal shelving (I’ve owned many), I think these are the neatest ones I’ve seen yet.

Title: DO NOT PURCHASE
Review: I purchased 2 of the units that are supposed to hold 3000# each for canning shelves. These shelves are not sturdy and not close to what are advertised. In no way would they hold even half the weight advertised.I requested a refund and received a return label. The instructions said if return was more than $30 per unit I should contact the company. The only option in our town is the Post Office. I was quoted $420 to return the shelving so needless to say I brought them back home and contacted the company again. I was offered prepaid return labels; however once they received them they would deduct $197 from the refund. Very expensive lesson learned. I will never purchase from this company again. If I could give 0 stars I would. Don’t waste your money!
