Title: Helpful right-handed adaptive utensils
Review: I ordered these adaptive utensils for my own use. I’ve had multiple injuries to both my hands and developed osteoarthritis in both hands at an early age. Sometimes I can use regular utensils but when my hands are at their worst I have to strap utensils to my hands in order not to drop them.Currently, I’m having a moderate flare so this was a good time to test these out. The size of the handles and the weight did make them easier to hold. I was unsure beforehand if the extra weight would be more difficult for me, but at least with my current level of pain and restricted movement it worked well. I’m still unsure how it will be when my hands are at their worst. The curved nature of the fork and spoons enable use with less wrist movement and my right thumb issues do partially affect my wrist, so I also found that helpful. The curved nature, however, do force you to use them only with your right hand. I do wish that a left-handed fork and spoon were included as well for when one of my hands is better than the other, but I did not lower my rating for that since these are advertised as being right-handed, so I knew what I was getting when I ordered. The one thing that I did take off a star for was the soup spoon. I was especially looking forward to using this since I eat a lot of soup. Unfortunately, the metal of my soup spoon is slightly warped or bent so does not hold much soup before leaking over the edges. It is warped bad enough that the smaller spoon actually holds a third more soup than the soup spoon does. So that was a disappointment. The other utensils have worked well for me though.

Title: This really helped my grandmotherwho had severe arthritis
Review: These utensils work! My grandmother suffers from severe arthritis and has severe hand and wrist pain. My grandmother usually takes a long time to eat and finish her food. Until I bought these, she has been using regular utensils to eat her food. I bought these specialized utensils for my grandmother to help her with her eating. Gratefully, these worked wonders for her. The first time my grandmother used these utensils she was able to use them like a pro without any time needed to adjust to using them. The first thing I noticed was my grandmother no longer kept dropping her food off her utensils. While using regular utensils my grandmother often dropped the food off of her utensils due to her hand shakes and weak grip stregth. After using these utensils she rarely dropped any food as the larger handles and heavier weight helped stabilize her grip and hands. While using these utensils my grandmother was eating her food way too fast. Much faster than when she used regular utensils. I had to tell my grandmother to slow down on her eating so she wouldn’t get an upset stomach. If you have arthritis and hand & grip strength issues I would recommend that you give these a try. The added weight with the larger grips plus the 90° angle really worked for my grandmother.Item reviewed:AuntyFey4Pcs Weighted Adaptive Utensils, 45°Angled Parkinsons Utensils for Elderly, Weighted Utensils for Hand Tremors, 3.5oz Weighted Built Up Utensils for Parkinson, Disabled, Black, Right-Handed

Title: A practical tool for people with hand tremors
Review: The AuntyFey 4Pcs Weighted Adaptive Utensils are designed with people in mind who have trouble with hand tremors, like those with Parkinson’s. They’ve got a 45° angled design and thick handles that make it easier to grip and control them, making mealtime a lot more comfortable. Weighing 3.5oz, they help reduce tremors and make your hand more stable. This set is made for right-handed users and looks sleek with its black finish. These utensils offer some really practical help and let people with limited hand coordination eat more independently, which is a big plus.

Title: Make meal-time less frustrating
Review: This is my third set for my elderly father who has extreme arthritis and gout. Each piece is around 3.5-4 ounces, with most of the weight in the handle. The circumference of the handles is 3 1/2 inches at the widest part, and they’re all around 8 inches long (measured straight, not on the curve). The rubber grooves keep the grip from turning slippery when hands get messy. And the angle means when you’re holding the spoon handle (say) as normal, it’s truly pointing straight back to your mouth. The soup spoon is especially helpful – MUCH less spilling. It’s nice to watch my dad relax when he’s eating as opposed to the terror that it was. After 3 sets what I’ve discovered is that they’re all the same, even if they have different vendor names attached to them. There must be one manufacturer making a standard set, which is marketed by different people. It means you can just look for the best deal and not worry so much about which is “better.” That said, what I like about these is they’re the first black-handled set I’ve had. They look a little classier than the gray-handled sets because they draw less attention to the enlarged handle.

Title: Forks That Actually Behave
Review: I got these for my father who has Parkinson’s, and for once he can eat without looking like he’s jousting with his dinner. The 45° angle makes a huge difference, since his wrist doesn’t have to twist like it used to. The weight steadies his tremor, and the thick grip keeps him from dropping food halfway to his mouth. The only downside is they look a bit goofy, but honestly, who cares when they work this well.

Title: returned
Review: The knife had glue/rust on it, on both sides. I scrubbed but couldn’t get all of it off. Had to return.
