Title: Not as versatile as I hoped – the large lens is 10x and the small 50x lens is difficult to use
Review: My eyes are getting older, and it’s getting harder to see to do my crafting. I’ve been looking for a magnifier that I can set on the table and work under, so that I don’t have to hunch over so far to see. When I saw this LMPOHO 10X-50X Foldable Magnifying Glass with Light and Stand, I was excited to try it in my crafting.This magnifying glass can be used with batteries or with a cord. I opted to use batteries. Pressing the button cycles through several different light options: white lights surrounding the large 10x view field, a white light by the small “double lens”, and two blue or purple lights UV at the bottom of the 10x lens. The white lights work well to provide adequate illumination. I haven’t had a need for the UV lights, yet.Since I ordered this magnifier specifically to use with the stand, I first tried to set it up that way. The lens clicks into five pre-determined positions, as does the base. Unfortunately, the lens’s depth of field is rather shallow, so things have to be positioned correctly to be magnified clearly. Also, the stand doesn’t allow for much room to work underneath–it’s too small for large projects and to magnify very widely. There are a few measurements of scale on the base, which is a nice touch, but which I struggle to view in focus.The small 50x lens, or “double lens” requires very close placement to the object being viewed. It usually works for me — not always — but my husband couldn’t get it to work for him. If it’s too far away, the object will flip in the viewer and appear small.For reading, this magnifier works well. As a stand it’s sturdy and won’t collapse under its own weight. It holds its position well. I just don’t feel like it functions the way I had hoped for crafting, so I’ll be on the lookout for one that will work better for my needs.

Title: Misleading 50X lens
Review: Disappointed – Misleading Product ImageThe product photos are very misleading. They make it appear as though the large main lens provides 50X magnification, but that is not the case. The main lens is only 10X. The 50X magnification applies to a much smaller secondary lens that’s about 1 inch in diameter.Unfortunately, I needed a larger viewing area with higher magnification, and this does not meet that need. Because of the misleading presentation and limited usefulness for my purpose, I will be returning it.
