Title: Good,, large and lightweight.
Review: My old eyess and my AMD need help reading small print, so I use 27 inch monitors and also Windows Magnifier, a free software application. . And a good real glass magnifier that is roughly 2 x 4 inches. But while undistorted, it’s heavy. and a larger one would weigh nearly a pound.This illuminated magnifier is three times the area and much lighter. But it is not as sharp, and the lines are not parallel because it seems to be a thick Fresnel lens. Iit is a good balance of light weight and clarity and I recommend it for home use. Mine will stay next to my computer, used without its LED lights, to help read what’s on my screen. With LEDs on, it it also good for reading hard copy.

Title: Wrong Lens For A Large Illuminated Hand Lens
Review: It took about 2 minutes to determine that this magnifier is poorly designed. The “premium optical lenses” (actually a single Fresnel lens) is exactly what you don’t want in an illuminated hand lens with the light source surrounding and close to the lens. The result is flare and lack of contrast. A glass or plastic convex biconvex lens would be the norm.Already packed up for return.

Title: Beware of the “fresnel lens”
Review: I loved this magnifying glass at first. But the more I used it, the more frustrating it was with all the glare and what I thought was renticular surface of the lens. The description says it is glass; it definitely is not. It is plastic with micro circular grooves in it, so the view is never crystal clear. I got tired of the foggy view of my book and started shopping for a true glass lens.
