Title: Love it!
Review: I love the amount of magnification (It is 3X.) and the 2 light levels! It has become a staple for me. I can read difficult black on black tiny symbols or print when assembling computer parts thanks to the lights. The lights began shakily holding the light level and then simply stopped working after one month of use. A battery replacement took care of the issue. I don’t know if it is just a huge power user or if I accidently left it on sometime. I can also use it as the sole power of illumination for reading in bed at night.

Review: Magnifying glass features work okay. Quality glass but not so much with outer plastic casing and particularly the handle. Feels fragile and so, I feel that I will need to take extra care while handling.Operating button for lighting is located within the hinge area of the unit which has two (2) levels. Push once for “on” then once more for the brighter setting. A third push will turn lighting “off.”Takes three (3) AAA batteries.I give it four (4) stars and am hoping that its functionality will not degrade quickly over the next few months; I use magnifiers quite a bit in my work when reading charts/maps. see photos:

Title: Very useful reading tool
Review: It meets expectations, but a little short on the gooseneck for reading in bed. I will affix a hinged swing type extension on my metal headboard to clamp lens to and swing it in and out as required. Will be a very worthwhile tool for this elderly and avid reader to read that fine print in some books!

Review: As other reviewers have noted item is only 2X (200%) magnification NOT 3X (300%) and clearly labeled as such.The 5 LEDs are along the bottom of the frame only not top and bottom and overall not as bright as another magnifier I just bought (” MagniPros 3X Magnifying Glass with [Anti-Glare & Fully Dimmable LEDs]-Evenly Lit Viewing Area-The Brightest & Best Magnifying Glass for Reading, Low Vision Seniors, Macular Degeneration, Inspection “).The folding handle is a nice feature for storage and this handle is better / more comfortable than on the magnifier noted above.The other one is higher magnification, the LED lighting is much brighter and dim-able with a rotary thumb wheel but the handle is not that ergonomically comfortable.

Title: These are the answer
Review: Wow…I’ve ordered a second! These are different, much better. I’ve over a dozen limp and framed stiff Sheet Magnifyers, 21/2″ and 31/2″ Round Magnifyers…all have there faults, unacceptable for reading slightly bowed book pages on your lap These cover a full 8″ page. Most important the Optics are different. The Focus Length to the page is an inch or two longer for a huge comfort increase. The 5 LED’s are floodlights! The folding handle creates an optional grip to ease the fatigue. (Wary your eyes may be different. Mine need 2.5X reading glasses which work well with this 3X magnifyer.) I can also use the magnifyer easier with/without my reading glasses. Note the handle opens/closes with a slight tug, and the light switch is hidden with the handle closed, not covered in Instructions. Needing a magnifyer to read books is slow, you gotta be patient to master, but these work.

Title: Twenty Dollar Mistake
Review: It was of no help with making it easier to read a book with small print. There seems to be more distortion than magnification. The clamp and adjustable support tube might have been useful with an exchangeable holding clamp and differently sized clamps to use it as a third hand for various small projects. Lacking this, it also went into the dumpster.

Title: GREAT Magnifying Glass
Review: I am 72 years old and my eyes are not what they once were and I find that I am needing to use a magnifying glass more and more.This is the finest that I have ever used. The light is very helpful and the folding handle and carrying bag are very convenient and useful.I am a Volunteer for the AARP TaxAide program each year and many of our clients ask me where I got this glass when they see it and I refer them to Amazon.Truly a GREAT PURCHASE.

Review: There appear to be a number of suppliers of this magnifying (acrylic) ‘glass’ so I mentioned my supplier above. It came as advertised. It is acrylic and it is clear and not smokey. The magification is adequate depending on your needs – mine is reading late at night when I don’t want to reach for my glasses or turn on the light. Speaking of light the dimmable lights have two settings and the lower setting is not too bright bouncing of white surfaces so the higher setting is bright. It is not too heavy to hold comfortably for a period of time but this is obviously dependent on your strength. The pouch was supplied and it folds and sits inside easily. It takes 3 AAA batteries. I would prefer if they just used 2 AA batteries. Anyway for $20 it is a good buy.
