Title: Takes 3 AAA Batteries
Review: Functionally this hits the mark. The bend in the handle to the position of the magnifying glass is perfectly tightened. You can move and swivel it without strain, and it will stay where you put it instead of just flopping around to wherever it feels like going. The lighting is great. So why four stars and not five? It’s 100% plastic for starters, so it doesn’t have a quality feel. Even the lens plastic so there is seriously no weight to this thing, which I would imagine is great for older users, but I’m just a 45 year old too stubborn to buy reading glasses. The other reason is it takes 3 AAA batteries. Granted, this is in the listing so it shouldn’t be any kind of surprise, but in this day and age – I really feel like everything should be rechargeable. Not necessarily because I hate buying batteries, which I do, but also because of the environmental impact of churning through alkaline batteries that end up in a landfill. So, if you want a decent device for handheld magnification, this definitely works. But if you are environmental conscious, I would recommend finding something rechargeable. Particularly if you wait a few months for stuff to start coming out with Sodium-Ion rechargeable batteries which are cheaper than lithium and nearly 100% recyclable.

Title: 5X Magnifying Glass with Light
Review: The handheld 5X magnifying glass made by XHSX features a nice-sized viewing area. The 24 LED lights brighten up whatever you are reading or working on. It is lightweight, even with the three AAA batteries that the magnifying glass requires. The handle folds up for storage, making it more compact. The magnifying glass really helps with reading my vitamin bottles. I gave it four stars because you have to purchase three AAA batteries to use the LED lights. It would be so much nicer if it were rechargeable.

Title: All plastic magnifying “glass”
Review: I was hoping this magnifying glass would be a little more substantial than it is. It’s all plastic and I’m not sure it works as well as a true glass magnifier. There are grooves all around the plastic lense, which probably makes it work. I was a little disappointed in the quality and how lightweight it is. I will say, it’s nice to have something to help see the fine print in so many of the directions for items today, so I’m still giving it three stars. I wouldn’t recommend this if you are looking for a top notch magnifying glass, but it works if this is what you can afford.

Title: Great magnification and it’s lighted !
Review: I got this for reading small print on packaging and more. My eyesight isn’t as good as it used to be.This was very affordable. It’s lighted, and it’s a good size. The magnification is awesome ! I can see the tiny print on a package of OTC meds, if needed. While it’s large, it’s not heavy or bulky. Easy to use, easy to hold, and I can fit it into my travel Bible bag, to use in my Bible study, when needed. I would buy it again.Thanks for reading. Have a blessed day ! 🤗

Title: Distorted view
Review: This 5X magnifying glass with light works okay when using for short periods, but it’s not good for curling up with a good book to read for a long time. The whole magnifier is made of plastic, including the “glass.” The glass on the front of the magnifier is smooth, but the glass on the back is textured with fine lines that look like a gigantic fingerprint. When I look through the front, I can see those lines. Plus, there is some distortion and reflection of light that obscures the viewing area. The reflection of light is not coming from the 24 LED lights on the magnifier. Rather, the reflection is from the lights in the room. In my pic, the light reflected in the glass comes from my ceiling fan light. Plus, I see my own reflection and other objects in the glass, which also distorts the view. Although the viewing area seems large, the least distortion is in the center of the magnifier, so the viewing area is not really that big. Another issue is storing the magnifier. A 5.5” x 5.5” pink, square lens cloth was included, which is nice, but a cloth storage bag would have been better. This magnifier is fine if you are just briefly looking through it, but that’s about it. There’s just too much distortion.

Title: Like The Large Sized Screen and Handle
Review: This is a user friendly magnifying glass for those that need to quickly check out a label, photo or piece of mail. The screen lights up with just the press of a button on the backside of the handle. The magnification is fine for just checking out the “fine print” or glancing at ingredient lists on a product. However, I would not recommend this magnifying glass for use with a project, such as tedious arts or crafts as the entire screen does not magnify equally or clearly. The center portion of the screen works best. This is a very affordable and handy magnifiying glass for everyday use.
