Title: Quality and convenient
Review: I bought this set a few months back, but didn’t have as much space as I needed to fully use it. Now I have an area that I’m dedicating to soldering, and I absolutely love how helpful this is. The light stays exactly where I need it, and it’s small enough to fit on my table without interfering with the rest of the setup. The metal base feels very sturdy and probably could be used to stop a bullet. It costs less than a hundred dollars, but I’ll probably be able to use it for a very long time. The first time I put it together, it took me about 10 minutes to get everything assembled. If you are looking for something that will hold up to everyday use, this is exactly what you want. It’s also very easy to use, and works perfectly. I wish I had bought this when I first decided to get into soldering and not bought a cheap version.

Title: Nicely made. Very helpful tool.
Review: I can’t believe I didn’t get one of these things decades ago! I suppose it’s because circuits have been getting smaller, while my eyesight has been getting worse. I bought this for a somewhat big project, and it worked very well. The base is nice and heavy. The goose-neck arms stick to it firmly, and they are surprisingly stable (particularly if two clips are used on the work item). The light is very good, and the magnifying glass is a comfortable magnification. The jig is also very attractive.

Title: Probably the most useful thing I’ve bought on amazon
Review: Great product I’ve been using it for 2 years now. I leave the light on way too much. And it’s still going. Everything is heavy and strong. The clips have held up huge models for AoS and 40K no problem. The lens is good and easy to clean. This is actually a good product not some Chinese crap.

Title: The arms move after releasing
Review: It works pretty well. The only problem I have with it is the arms move slightly when you let go of them. This makes it hard to set small parts precisely so you’ll find yourself trying to compensate so it moves into the position you actually wanted. It’s still new so it could go away after using it more. The good thing is you can get magnetic arms from different companies so I could look for better replacements if it becomes that much of an issue. The USB adapter that came with it also got pretty hot when I first used it. It felt really light and cheap so I tried one that seemed higher quality and the problem went away. Just something to look out for.On a positive note, the base is thick and heavy so it won’t fall over like some of the other smaller and cheaper ones on here. The only time that might happen is if you don’t clamp it down and try to move the magnifying glass too quickly.

Title: Great quality
Review: I’d just like to say that I’m always a bit skeptical when a manufacturer boasts about how good, strong, or whatever their product is. I’m also hard to impress, but I expect them to live up to what they said.I’m actually impressed by this magnifying stand. I popped one of the magnetic arms down on the base and although I could slide it around, it took some serious effort to pull it straight off.Everything is solid and works well. It has some nice rubber feet on the bottom of the base to prevent scratching your table. This looks and feels like a quality product. I feel like I definitely got my money’s worth.

Title: Unsturdy
Review: You get what you pay for in some cases, not so much. I have used it maybe 5 times a week for a month and it became loose at the base but couldn’t tighten it. I wrapped a couple of the metal clamps around it to try and keep it in place.
