Review: Got this fo my mother that has vision issues and she loves that it lights up and easy for her to use. She enjoys reading the newspaper and can now read it again. Battery seems to stay charged good and is clear for her to see.

Title: Nice lighting but lousy optical quality
Review: The optical quality is lousy. I have a similar sized hand held magnifier which has far superior optical quality. I bought this latest one because it had a rechargeable battery-for lighting. The older one used AAA batteries which did not last long but the optics were terrific. Hard to see why the optics on this are so poor because superficially it looks alot like the older one that had far superior optics. I should have returned this one because it was so disappointing..

Title: Acrylic Lens Falls Short on Clarity
Review: I own two magnifying glasses already—a small, 2-inch diameter one and a desktop version with dimmable, color-adjustable lighting. Both have glass lenses, which offer crisp, clear viewing. This HQGZQL handheld magnifier uses an acrylic Fresnel lens. It arrived charged and ready to use, which was convenient. At first glance, everything appeared fuzzy until I noticed and removed a protective film on the smooth side of the lens. That helped somewhat, but I still couldn’t get a sharp or satisfying view regardless of angle or distance.The LED lights are bright, even on the lowest setting, which is a plus. However, the lens simply didn’t deliver the clarity I expected. One downside I hadn’t considered: acrylic lenses attract more dust than glass. Despite being careful with cleaning, my first gentle wipe left a scratch. If you’re not prepared to use canned air before every use, this might be more hassle than help. Regretfully, I can’t recommend it.
