Title: This microscope is GREAT!
Review: I received a microscope as a gift and I love it; it’s great for what it is…viewing microscopic details on many things. I tried to view coins and stamps with it, but even at the lowest magnification, I still couldn’t see the details on coins and stamps. This Digital Microscope is AMAZING for viewing coins, stamps and even other things that don’t require higher magnification. The lights are in a position that sometimes interferes with the focus mechanism and the magnification adjustment handles but the results are stunning. The clarity is striking – especially on a computer monitor. I did try this on both a Mac and a PC and the PC was easier. The app for the Mac is a bit cumbersome and clunky – same with just the native Mac PhotoBooth app. The power cord is a bit short but not a showstopper – I can buy a longer cord at a nominal cost. Even with these minor issues (which don’t even take a star away) – the images of coins and stamps close-up on this scope outweigh the minor issues. I can’t wait to look at more coins, stamps and other things. This is a great gift for anyone over 10. The 7″ screen is sufficient – I wouldn’t do the 4.x” and I think the 10″ screen is a bit large – especially since you can view it all on a computer monitor.

Title: 1200 X too Powerful!
Review: Customers should know that the 1200 X is the only magnification value available with this unit. I bought it thinking i could use it with Magnification value less than 1200X. the 1200X is just too powerful for my application.
