Title: These are the ones that you want!
Review: Update: 5 months later, I’m still loving these solar lights. Because of the leaves on the trees now they don’t get as much sunlight as they did when I initially wrote this review. They all light up beautifully but don’t make it through the whole night like they initially did. But again, I have big trees everywhere which are likely limiting their charging. None have fallen even in heavy wind/rain. Zero regrets with these!!Original review: After my first set of solar lights finally died ( I got about 2-3 years out of them) I was on the search for something new. My old ones had little plastic domes that snapped on to direct the light and these broke shortly after I got them, so I knew that this time I wanted one solid light with nothing to snap in. These new lights are one solid unit. Note: I’m not using these as gutter lights as intended, but rather I have them attached to my white vinyl fence to light up my back yard at night. Since they are solid white, they blend right in during the daytime. I didn’t want to drill holes in my fence, so I have the mounts wedged into the trim of every other piece of 8 ft wide fencing. My old lights were constantly falling down and I’d just put them back up. With these new lights, that doesn’t seem to be an issue. We’ve had crazy winds for two days and they are exactly where I placed them. I got the warm white and I’m so happy with both the look and how much light these little things give off. I’ll post a picture so you can see. In the photo, the lights look very cool white, but they are warm white in person. Update: I went ahead a bought a second set so I could extend them further around my fencing. I’m also going to mount them to the side of my garage. These lights kick on at dusk and are STILL ON until it starts getting light around 6am!!! I’m so impressed. My old lights never made it much past 11pm even when brand new. All my lights work. All are the same shade of warm white. Zero issues. Love, love, love these. They were more expensive than my old ones and more than some other choices on Amazon too, but I’m just so happy with the look, the amount of light and how long they stay lit up, it was definitely money well spent.

Review: I bought these to replace units that already had. The old units were 3 LEDs each. It was a literal night and day difference. The old lights were low power “spot” lights. These illuminate the ENTIRE space. The batteries last all night long without dimming with overcast skies to charge them.

Title: Fire hazard – DO NOT BUY
Review: I purchased two 8-packs of these outdoor solar-powered lights. They claim to need “Just a 6-8 hour charge for all-night lighting”, and be “IP65 waterproof”.I don’t think these claims are accurate, and I think the lights are unsafe.I put up the lights from one box for testing. The first night they worked all night. Every night since they have lasted one hour. The weather has been a bit cloudy, but I would expect better than an hour given the amount of sunlight they have been getting.There was absolutely no safety rating information printed on the box, instruction sheet, or lights themselves, so I started getting concerned. Strapping lithium batteries to the outside of my home already seems a bit risky.I was also concerned about the safety based on the build quality, and since the included instruction sheet says the batteries can be replaced, I opened one light up to take a look at the battery. It is unmarked, and soldered to the leads, making it almost impossible for the average person to replace.In doing this, I also discovered the entire assembly is just two cheap plastic shells fitted together with four screws, and not a gasket in sight. It does not look at all IP65 compliant.I asked the seller for battery safety related tests, and they responded with a screenshot of part of a page for a UN 38.3 test report (which certifies some transport safety), but said, “No IEC 62133 (or UL 62133) report.” That’s the one which would let me know the battery itself was vaguely safe for use in the given context. (The screenshot they provided is attached to this review.)As the battery is unmarked, there is also no way to confirm whether any of these reports are for the provided battery.Given this and the fact that the enclosure is definitely not IP65 compliant, I think these items are a major safety risk to put on homes. I’m returning mine, and I’ve made a report to Amazon about it, since I don’t think these products are safe. I don’t think they should be listed on Amazon.As an aside, both of the two boxes were falling apart when they arrived– the cardboard was only barely glued together.

Review: The first night I had them they stayed on for 12 hours. Now they only stay on for about 5 and that is with full sun all day! Good lighting but just wish they stayed on longer
