Title: Home “surgery” splinter removal A+ 🤗🤗🤗
Review: Why did I wait so long to buy these fantastic magnifying glasses?! Instead of trying to wrangle a flashlight with one hand and a needle with the other, I can easily – no guarantees regarding pain lol- remove splinters from myself and family members. I feel like a proper doctor with my nitrile gloves, Amazon cotton rounds, alcohol to sterilize the wound, and whiskey for the patient. Kidding. Honestly, 5 stars. The glasses charge in about 30 minutes, have 2 brightness levels ( the charge lasts a long time too- bonus points), the carrying case is top notch. The glasses fit well on top of my regular glasses. All around fab and so inexpensive!Note: while the attached photo isn’t a picture of the glasses, I mean they look just like the Amazon picture, dear reader can see that the removal of the splinter required the “surgeon” (me) to have the use of both hands, bright focused light to see what the heck I was doing, and most importantly, serious magnification to really get in there and get that bad splinter out. Success that i owe to the glasses. Not hyperbole.

Title: All you need for your hobbies or projects
Review: Was looking for a magnifying table lamp to do diamond art and came across this product. With the Vision Aid glasses the magnifier moves with me wherever I need it which is what I needed. The light is a cool feature as well it’s very bright and has 2 settings and also moves up or down where ever you need it. The nose rest is also positional to fit the bridge of your nose. The magnifiers pop in and out of the holder no buttons or anything just simply pops in and out. The case for the magnifiers is very thick and durable as well and they are very clear. Also comes with a cloth and head band for more secure fitting. The case is nice too it’s also durable and well made.

Title: I can see great, easy to use, comfortable, easy to do my work
Review: I just had cataract surgery on one eye. Everything was blurry up close in that eye since they corrected for distance vision. They’ll do the other eye in a couple of weeks and then order new glass a couple of weeks after that. In the meantime, these are working great to allow me to continue making jewelry or to read. I had tried a magnifying stand, but it was not real clear, the area of magnification was small, I couldn’t work with my jewelry under it because I kept bumping the stand due to insufficient room, and I had to sit in a strained position to see over the top of it. These glasses have none of those problems. The only downside is I look weird wearing them, but if I can see, I don’t really care. I’ll probably continue using them for jewelry even after I get my new glasses. Also, I have dry type macular degeneration, so they should help more as I slowly lose my vision.

Title: Great Magnifier For the Price
Review: I am a 67 year old glasses wearer and I am frequently working with small electronic devices (e.g. printed circuit boards, small surface mount components, and soldering irons). As I have aged, working with small parts and assemblies has become more difficult. To that end, I have resorted to frequently removing my glasses and getting my face close to the work in order to see the detail I need. I recently decided to see if there was a solution that would fit my needs. I quickly found very high priced and high quality magnifiers from the likes of Craft Optics, but just could not justify the cost (~$500-~$800). I did some quick searching and came upon these Vision Aid devices. They offer a great deal of functionality and provide for changeable magnifications via snap on lenses. They also provide for a light source and have a good deal of adjustability. The price was very reasonable and I decided to give them a try. They are quite well made given the cost and while the optics are not top of the line ala’ Craft, they are better than I expected. After removing the nose piece, they are quite comfortable. In use , the working distance varies with the magnification (higher power requires closer working distance). For my use, I settled on the 2.5X lens, but its great to be able to snap in a different power as needed. My one gripe is that the snap on clip for the lenses is not very firm or secure. It easy to knock it out of place. I may try making some mods to fix that. The LED lamp worked better that I expected and it too is quite adjustable. Also of note is that the company sells replacement parts (e.g. lenses) on their web site. This is great as I’m sure down the road, I’ll want to replace the lenses as they get scratched with use. During my initial using, I was finding that I had some double vision issues. I contacted the company via their web site and received a prompt response with instructions to try moving the lens closer to my glasses. They also offered to allow me to return for a refund if I could not make them work for me. That’s great support! The suggestion to move the lens closer worked well for me and I am keeping them. All in all, a great product.

Title: Very nice but has a few small issues
Review: Use these for close up intricate beadwork. I have had a few problems. The lens fall out easily and they give me a headache with the tight head band. ( I already switched from the arms as they hurt my ears and nose bridge) I have reached out to the company twice and have heard back so I can say that customer service not so great. All in all being able to see certainly helps do the things I love. I just have be aware when the lens might have an opportunity.

Title: Works well but the lens quality is poor
Review: It is a great tool, it’s just that the lens quality is cheap and break easily. Also the case isn’t really worth it.

Review: This product comes in a nice zipper enclosed carry case for convenient travel and would take very little space in your luggage. The nice assortment of lens is very handy for closer projects and the light is a very nice touch making it much easier to see what you’re doing. Works great for beading, cross-stitch, crocheting, drawing, etc….really the possibilities are endless. The nose piece takes a little getting used to but it isn’t bad at all. The option of wearing this comes with either a headband or glasses arms, so take your pick on the comfort of your choice. I know I sound like a commercial but seriously this is a great product!
