Title: Exceeded my expectations
Review: I purchased these hearing aids knowing that I could return them if they did not work out. However these hearing aids have exceeded by expectations. Not only do they allow me to hear everything in a natural sound, but they are comfortable to wear. Once you put them on in the morning you don’t even know that you’re wearing them except you can hear people speaking very clearly. These are well worth the purchase price for anyone that has moderate hearing loss.

Title: The best OTC hearing aids I have tested
Review: This is, by far the best set of hearing aids I have tested. So many OTC aids are merely amplifiers which make ALL sounds louder–thereby delivering muddled and distorted noise. These Yeasound hearing aids are significantly more sophisticated and nuanced than most OTC aids. Testing these right out of the box, I noticed significant differences in my hearing. Suddenly I was able to lower the volume on the TV. I was detecting sounds which have eluded me for years. Shuffling papers, opening drawers and doors, even adjusting positions suddenly were experiences which came with enhanced sound. The profile of the aids is smaller than most, and the charging case is top of the line. It comes with a charging stand which adds convienence to the use of these devices.The one drawback of my experience with this product was the app for Android use. I downloaded it from Google Play (with great reluctance since it had no reviews and reflected only 1+ download), and prepared to pair it with my devices. That’s where the interest in doing so ended. I was stuck on a screen which was requiring me to create an account–complete with my email address. Why should an app which is used to control personal hearing aids require an account? And why would it also be required for me to supply an email address? The app would not let me proceed without an account. Essentially I was blocked from accessing the complete set of features available for these devices. I’ve used several other hearing products which required downloads. None of them ever made me create an account. Refusing to do so ended my exploration of this product.Though I found the app experience extremely frustrating, I still believe these are OTC products which are superior to most available in this catagory. Overall, I like these aids and would highly rate them. The app experience gives me pause, but some users may not be bothered by the account requirement. Even with limited features available for non-account users, I will rate these as 4 stars.

Title: Poor App – Not able to contact customer service
Review: I have been trying to adapt to these hearing aids. They seem to have good reviews and initially they seem comfortable. But I have some questions about adjusting the sound because all voices sound tinny and raspy, like an old gramophone. It is hard to recognize familiar voices because of the tinny sound. I tried to call customer service, and the call was never answered – just kept ringing. I tried to submit a request on the app. Impossible. First it required that I select a call back time but said none were available so it would not let me finish the support request. Next, I selected no call back, but it required a photo of the problem. Not sure how to take a photo of a sound issue. Further the app would not access the phone camera even though the app is authorized to access the camera in the phone settings. Again, the app would not let me submit a request. I hope these will work but if I cannot get customer service before the 30-day return period ends, these are going back.

Title: Easy To Setup & Use. Convenient Controls. Comfortable. Clear Sound. Lovely Extras. Great Case.
Review: I’m comparing these hearing aids to the prescription ones she got from the audiologist, which cost about $3000.These fit better in their case, assuring her that they’re going to charge every time, as she often discovers that her doctor prescribed ones don’t always end up charging. The charging case is lovely and feels high-quality, opening and shutting easily yet securely. She loves that the case is very durable and easy to use. It has a sturdy base, so it’s not inclined to tip over. The charge cable is about 2 feet long, which she considers adequate. No wall outlet adapter was included, but she has plenty of those already. These charge must faster, in 3 hours, than her prescription hearing aids, which take 12 hours. So far, she has never run out of a charge while using them, where as her prescription ones usually start going dead while she’s still wanting to use them – while she’s still wanting to actually hear her environment and people speaking. Her prescriptions one often ruin the enjoyment of her outings, hampering her ability to socialize and participate. These allow her to participate and engage fully, like she could before needing hearing aids.These hearing aids sound clear with ample volume and good controls. When they’re close together, they produce feedback, which is normal and typical of every hearing aid she’s ever used. The volume button is much better than what’s offered by her prescribed ones, which have only one button that’s finicky to operate. These have 2 buttons: an up volume and a down volume, so she can apply the exact input she wants without confusion or mistakes. And she’s so happy that she can adjust the volume correctly on-the-go to immediately adapt the levels to her surroundings, such as in a loud restaurant or in a private conversation. There’s no fussing with them and missing what’s happening – missing the moment. Adjusting the volume entails individual clicks of the buttons, while a long press of either of these same buttons powers each hearing aid on or off. Each hearing aid is powered on or off individually. Putting them in the case to charge also turns them off. When taking them out of the case, you DO have to turn them on, and they say, “hello,” when turned on.These hearing aids are equal in weight and size to her prescribed ones, which she likes. She finds them comfortable to wear. She loves that these hearing aids are color-coded, so it’s easy to quickly determine which goes where, with right being red (RR is easy to remember) and left being blue. She likes how pretty much invisible they are. They’re easy to hide, even when her hair is pulled back.She likes all the extras that she didn’t even get from her audiologist, such as the cleaning kit, so it’s easy to keep these hearing aids sanitary and free of debris. Cleaning sticks are included for cleaning out the different ear attachments (domes), of which there is an abundant and high-quantity selection. She likes that these domes are a flexible, soft, rubber or latex material rather than cheap-feeling plastic. They’re very comfortable.The instruction booklet is well-written and very easy for her, a senior citizen, to interpret. The instructions are thorough, accurate, and to-the-point with text that is easy for her to see. The illustrations and diagrams are also extremely helpful and easy to see. The quick start guide is excellent as well, making it easy to put these hearing aids into use…quickly. Because of these factors, operating these hearing aids was much easier for her to learn than any she’s had in the past, which she had to have her doctor explain to her. She says that normally, an audiologist tests her hearing and programs in the presets based on those results, but she had to set her own presets in this case, which she understood how to do. I was impressed to learn that. Finally, these hearing aids have Bluetooth capabilities, which we have not set up and do not plan to ever engage.Overall, she’s incredibly impressed with these; for the price, she got far more than she expected. These are by far her favorite hearing aids she’s ever had, especially when compared to several other professional and much more expensive ones she’s used. She’ll definitely order these again when appropriate.
