Title: Hearing aids
Review: The product seems to be well made. They are very compact and are marked as to which ear you use them in. They have a volume with (8) different levels of amplification. They come with a charger that works with a type C cord and can charge off practically anything that has a USB type A port such as a laptop or power bank. They work very well to increase your hearing ability. They come with (6) sets of ends to go on the actual hearing aids to make them fit just about any ear canal size from small to large. Plus these keep ear wax off the end of the hearing aid which can block them working right. Overall I would definitely recommend the product to anyone needing a set to help with their hearing as to me this is way cheaper and better route than going to an audiologist and paying an exorbitant amount for a set of hearing aids as to me these will do just as fine a job for way less in cost.

Title: Fit great but don’t work
Review: These hearing aids fit my ears really well. Unfortunately, they just don’t work. The first set I received, the left unit wouldn’t stay charged more than 2 hours. I let the unit fully charge again several times with the same result. The second set I received as a replacement, the right unit would go from a low sound level to the highest sound level after wearing the unit for a few minutes. The volume couldn’t be changed and the unit wouldn’t turn off so I’d have to let it discharge the power and try again after charging. This happened several times. Very disappointed.

Title: Hearing amplifier
Review: There is a difference between a “hearing aid” and a “hearing amplifier”. Hearing aids are class 1 medical devices regulated by the FDA, require a prescription, and cost thousands of dollars. Hearing amplifiers are unregulated, available to anyone without a prescription, and usually cost under a couple of hundred dollars. These are hearing amplifiers. The main difference between the two is in the frequency range that hearing aids amplify. Instead of amplifying only the frequency range of the human voice (whatever your prescription is for), these amplify everything. I have terrible tinnitus from several unprotected shootings in my career, and I was hoping these would help. But they did not. These have a really nice storage case that also acts as a charger. It slips in and out of a pocked well, and the rounded shape helps it disappear. It’s small enough to carry around in your pocket in case you need to recharge. I don’t know if I believe the “128 hours of charging”, but it should have enough recharge power to cover you for a day or two.The directions say it’s good for three full recharges before the case itself needs to be recharged. A full charge takes between two and three hours, and the instructions say to remove the case from power when fully charged to protect the battery.Fitment is fairly easy, and they include 6 sets of 3 different sizes of “domes”. They also include a USB-A power brick, a short USB-A to C charging cord, and a cleaning brush. There are a few stick-looking things in a tiny case, but I don’t see anything in the directions and can’t figure out what they’re for.The front of the case has three groups of three bright blue LED lights. The top two are for the left and right amplifiers, and the bottom is for the charging case itself. The top is the weak link here, as it must be pulled off instead of tipping back like other ear-bud cases.Turning on and turning up or down the 8 levels is done with a push of the same button, which is on the face and easy to push. I found that levels 1 and 2 were good for me, and on 3 (default), I could hear a mouse fart at 7 yards. Yeah, they really do amplify everything, and it’s amazingly clear. Turning them up too high caused squealing, but they suggest ways to prevent that. The bottom line is that these do make things louder, and might be worthwhile for someone with no insurance coverage, or with limited funds. But they’re not frequency-selective; they make everything louder, which isn’t ideal for a hearing aid. Oh, and for my tinnitus, they’re of no help whatsoever.I hope this helps.

Title: Great amplifier earbuds. Charging case is very awkward, though.
Review: The earbuds themselves hold a charge for about 2 hours during constant use. If left laying around, they seem to stay active and still lose power. The earbuds are comfortable but look very old-fashioned with the skin colored tips. The sound quality is decent, but there’s a very slight humming static noise in the background at all times, even in my isolated, insulated basement room. It wasn’t like this was a picked up background noise from the environment. It just hums. Kind of odd but I was OK with it. It honestly didn’t bother me much after a while. The sound is consistent at any charge level, though, and there’s a warning sound when they’re about to die.The case is extremely awkward! It has a disc/circle shape, but the charging port is on the bottom and the disc doesn’t lay flat. The charger also surprisingly doesn’t seem to hold a charge; Only the earbuds seem to hold a charge. This could be a defect, mind you, but it’s something to keep in mind since it could be a reason to return/avoid this product. The charge time seems to be pretty quick, but I honestly couldn’t figure out how to tell when they were fully charged and just left them alone for hours.Overall, they’re a bit overvalued, and I wouldn’t recommend them at full price, but on a deep discount… they could be worth a try. I wouldn’t spend more than $40 on these if I weren’t grabbing them for review purposes. However, if you have need of them, they’ll be useful. Just know they are only for total sound amplification and cannot help with variable types and levels of sound. They don’t isolate sound or help with normalizing volume levels. One thing I really like about these earbuds is they do not try to make you use a phone app. 🙂
