Title: When small become bigger.
Review: I need a “magnifier” to read smaller text. I was skeptical about buying this item because Fresnel lenses just don’t do a good job.Well, my doubts were wrong. This magnifier, light and bright (has battery lights), is a pleasure to use. The lighting is uniform and enhances the magnification view.This item is perfect for reading – light and comfortable to hold. It can be used horizontally or vertically.If you want to use this for fine work, you will have to decide that yourself.

Title: Mad a senior crocheter very happy!
Review: Purchased for a senior citizen friend who is losing her eyesight. She loves to crochet and was convinced that she could no longer do so. She opened the box and immediately started to crochet again. It’s easy to use and the different levels of brightness are an advantage.

Title: It works
Review: I’m pleasantly surprised by this inexpensive solution to my reading problem. I’m a heavy reader, but due to health issues have been unable able to read for pleasure for several months.This little thing actually works for me. The light- particularly the different types of light for different environments- works nearly anywhere. The plastic lens doesn’t seem terribly sturdy, but so far it’s holding up. It tends to collect small scratches easily, but so far no little scratches are deep enough to cause any distortion. The lens itself is free of distortion.I have tremors and the long handle does not work for me, so I prop or hold it with the handle closed.Overall, I’m happy with this inexpensive purchase and would definitely buy it again.

Title: Beware of the “fresnel lens”
Review: I loved this magnifying glass at first. But the more I used it, the more frustrating it was with all the glare and what I thought was renticular surface of the lens. The description says it is glass; it definitely is not. It is plastic with micro circular grooves in it, so the view is never crystal clear. I got tired of the foggy view of my book and started shopping for a true glass lens.

Review: This magnifier is terrific and amazingly inexpensive. I bought one for my wife, but used it so much that I consulted with her about how many more to get. We bought five more, one for me, one for each car (for reading maps), and two for friends.

Title: Wrong Lens For A Large Illuminated Hand Lens
Review: It took about 2 minutes to determine that this magnifier is poorly designed. The “premium optical lenses” (actually a single Fresnel lens) is exactly what you don’t want in an illuminated hand lens with the light source surrounding and close to the lens. The result is flare and lack of contrast. A glass or plastic convex biconvex lens would be the norm.Already packed up for return.
