Title: Sennheiser is unmatched for the price
Review: Fantastic sound for the price. Extremely comparable to my original Sennheiser HD 555s that I’ve been using since 2006. I think the 555s sound a little bit more natural and the plastic was nicer feeling back then, but the sound quality is nearly identical. The plastic shell on these feels slightly cheaper than the 555s but they are still quite nice and possibly more durable, they just feel cheaper to the touch. The 3.5mm adapter that they come with is terrible and provides poor sound quality compared to a gold-plated corded one I purchased years ago. It was quite a difference comparing the adapters, so I would definitely recommend buying a better one. They fit fairly tight on my big head but are incredibly comfortable for long sessions. I will always purchase Sennheiser as my main headphones for music and gaming.

Title: Perfection
Review: I primarily use these for gaming or watching videos, listening to music on YouTube. I’m not an audiophile but I really enjoy my “me time” on my PC so I want it to be a high quality experience. These deliver on every level.I don’t really play many games that need a mic so I just bought an in-line mic add-on from a 3rd party made specifically for these headphones and attached it. It’s a cheap boom mic but it picks up fine.The MOST important thing for me is comfort. I have fallen asleep with these on multiple times. It never leaves my ears or scalp sore. I used to have a pair of Astro A40s because of how comfortable they were, but these are superior in just about every way. These are absolutely worth the price if you can afford them. I’ve had mine for about 5 months. They’re the best headphones I’ve ever used. I bought a nice little SoundBlaster DAC/soundcard to go with them to make sure I got the full range of the headphones and it made a big difference. These are phenomenal. I couldn’t be more pleased with them. I plan on using these for as long as they will last, which judging by the high quality materials, I think they’ll last many years just like my Astro A40s did.COMFORT: These fit OVER my ears. So many headphones are called “over-ear” yet lay on top of my ears. I have detached ear lobes so most headphones lay on my ear lobes slightly and after a few hours will make my ears sore. The clamp strength is also a huge factor. I have a big fat head (because I’m so smart) and most headphones start to feel too snug after awhile. These never do. I’ve fallen asleep for 6+ hours before at my PC and woke up, forgot I was wearing these, and never felt any discomfort. It’s like they were made by a benevolent God just for my cranium. The top of the headphones never press down on the top of my scalp in an uncomfortable way either. The head cushion on my Astro A40s would get uncomfortable after extended sessions but I swear these NEVER do me wrong. These are a gift from heaven and I love them dearly. If you care about audio quality and comfort above all else, you will be pleased with these.

Title: lightweight and comfortable, allows me to stay aware of my surroundings
Review: great sound on these, though the volume will not feel as substantial as with closed back headphones. it goes a long way for my anxiety because i am able to hear what is around me and not be caught unawares. these are lightweight and very comfortable, fitting around the ear in a way that doesn’t bother my piercings (of which i have several going all the way up both ears and an industrial). it’s been an hour and so far no fatigue, no sweat in or around my ears, and no soreness from my piercings. i also wear glasses and no issues there either.the original cord is extremely long, and it’s a bit tricky to swap to the smaller one. you have to twist then pull, it should come out easily so if it doesn’t then twist the other direction and try again. if you like your music loud, then everything will be heard outside your headphones. at mid volume it’s less noticable, but if you blast it, these headphones more or less will sound like an old 90s stereo to everyone around you. great for at home, but not public transport, planes, or gym.sound off, i can hear everything just the same as if i weren’t wearing headphones. in use, outside sound is muffled and nearly disappears at higher volume, depending on what it is. for example my voice sounds muffled but clearly understanable when i speak while listening to Bach’s Cello Suites at volume 60 on my mp3 player. but at the same volume listening to Papercut by Linkin Park, i can just barely hear my voice when speaking at normal volume.MUSIC and MOVIES: music sounds great with these, i’ve tried classical, EDM, acapella, rock, pop, cinematic, metal. not true basshead level but can be made so with eq or DAC. movie audio is awesome, as long as you slightly modify your bass level on equalizer and turn off all “enhancement” settings/plugins on your device. sounds nearly like being right there in a movie theater, it’s awesome! Dune, for example, sounds absolutely insane. as do the Marvel movies and the original Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), Nope, and The Thin Man (1934).GAMING: surround sound in games works with these! using Genshin as a lowest-denominator example, in-game i set audio and SFX to maximum and muted vocals and music, surround sound and full dyanmic range with my PC (Win11) volume set to 50. being right in front of a waterfall keeps the sound in both ears no matter the camera direction. but moving away, and slowly moving the camera as the waterfall sound very clearly in different directions. muted when camera is fully away(waterfall behind me), fully in one ear when left or right and quieter in opposite ear, facing the camera full toward the waterfall brings the sound forward in both ears again. the further away, the lesser the sound but the degree of difference remains the same. slowly panning the camera in a circle gradually alters the direction of the audio in sync with where the waterfall is.directly plugged into PC has full, crisp clear audio. when connected to a PS4 DualShock controller (via USB, not wireless), the surround sound effect is less substantial. it’s comparable to limited/stereo where all sound is either left/right ear, behind, or in front with not much in between.

Review: Also ich bin kein Audiophiler, dementsprechend bei weitem nicht so bewandert, aber vielleicht hilft die Rezension trotzdem einigen. Ich habe die Kopfhörer erst seit ein paar Tagen und hier sind ein paar nützliche Infos:Verglichen habe ich mit dem DT880Pro von Byerdynamic und dem Hifiman Sandura. Gerade wird in der audiophilen Community häufig als bestes Modell in der Preisspanne bis 500€ angegeben.Beide genannten sind vom Sound her klarer, neutraler, beim Sandura wirkt die Spannweite noch größer, aber sie sind tatsächlich sehr schwer zu bespielen, die Kombination aus Widerstand und Empfindlichkeit ist hier wichtig.Der HD599 geht easy am Handy oder PC und ist vom Klang her wärmer, voller sozusagen.Insgesamt sehr angenehm zu hören, gerade für Musik, dennoch sind Detailgrad und Qualität auf jeden Fall gut.Wer also insbesondere warme und auch etwas basslastigere (bei weitem nicht wie bei Gamingkopfhörern aber spürbarer als bei Sundara und DT880Pro) Soundqualität wünscht, kann nichts falsch machen für den Preis. Bin sehr zufrieden, auch mit der farblichen Gestaltung.

Review: Le 598, finalmente perfezionate.INTROC’è da dire una cosa, una volta entrati nel tunnel dell’audiofilia, si cerca sempre di trovare la cuffia perfetta. Si comprano cuffie su cuffie fino a trovare quella che soddisfa appieno, a volte spendendo cifre vergognose. In questo caso, almeno per ora, si può dire che io abbia trovato quella che soddisfa appieno, la cuffia “end game”, ovvero questa, la 599. Ormai le cuffie di questa serie le conosco bene, molti hanno fa ho avuto la 555, poi ho preso la 598 aperta, e la 598 chiusa. Nessuna di queste era perfetta, mancava sempre un etereo “qualcosa”. Con queste, penso di aver ottenuto la perfezione.UNBOXING QUALTA COSTRUTTIVA E COMFORTLa scatola mi è arrivata non imballata (in passato arrivavano imballate in una scatola più grande), tecnicamente è una scatola valida per la spedizione però non sono contentissimo perché non vorrei rovinarla, ma non fa niente, perché sono riuscito a togliere il nastro adesivo senza fare danni (in ogni caso io recensisco solo il prodotto, non tolgo o aggiungo punti per la logistica di Amazon).La cuffia come tutte le altre di questa serie arriva nella scatola di cartoncino incastonata in gommapiuma, assieme ai cavi. Questa volta c’è un cavo da 3 metri col jack largo per sintoamplificatori e un cavo corto per dispositivi portatili col jack da 3.5, ma stavolta senza microfono e bottone (nelle 598 chiuse invece c’era il cavo per smartphone con microfono e bottone, comunque i cavi sono intercambiabili), c’è però l’adattatore da 6.4 a 3.5 per sfruttare il cavo lungo su un dispositivo con jack da 3.5.Le cuffie si presentano bene, sono pressoché identiche alle 598 classiche come materiali, interamente in plastica con le griglie in metallo, padiglioni in velluto e archetto in similpelle. La plastica è beige chiaro (le 598 erano più gialline), gli inserti sembrano metallo ma è plastica grigia, in generale la cuffia sembra di buona qualità come per le altre di questa serie. L’archetto sembra essere abbastanza flessibile ma io comunque non le maltratterei troppo.Il comfort è elevato, la pressione è distribuita sui padiglioni che essendo giganti non toccano le orecchie ma le circondano, i padiglioni sono in velluto molto morbido ma il materiale interno sembra un po’ duro, magari perché sono nuove e si devono smollare un po’. Come le 598 normali e le altre cuffie di questa serie, il comfort è a livelli elevatissimi, inoltre le cuffie sono molto leggere.SOUNDFacciamo una precisazione che ho fatto anche per le mie altre recensioni di cuffie: l’audio è una cosa soggettiva e difficile da descrivere a parole. Ognuno ha la sua preferenza sulla colorazione del suono che preferisce. Io personalmente apprezzo un suono “morbido” e avvolgente, non molto colorato ma con un basso presente (non invadente) e alti cristallini, medi caldi. Ho scartato le 598 classiche perché troppo “fredde”, dal basso troppo contenuto e alti un po’ distanti e velati. Ho scartato le ATH M50 perché troppo impastate con un basso invadente e un suono compresso. Ho tenuto le Sony MDR 1A perché pur non essento molto diverse dalle M50 come sonorità sono molto comode, leggere, e molto dettagliate, vanno bene per la musica elettronica e le alterno a queste e alle 598CS il più delle volte, oltre a usarle come cuffie portatili. Ho tenuto le 598CS perché molto brillanti e pulite con un buon basso e un isolamento medio.Le 599 sono su un altro livello rispetto a tutte queste. Il suono è morbidissimo, avvolgente, leggero, soave, non so neanche come descriverlo, ma è molto piacevole. Il basso è molto morbido, per niente invadente, un po’ sottotono all’inizio ma basta ascoltare un po’ e si apprezza anche con generi elettronici (ma attenzione, sicuramente non va bene per musica dance o dubstep o roba simile, anche se comunque vi farà apprezzare tutto il resto del lavoro che è stato fatto dall’artista e che di solito è coperto dai bassi), manca il basso profondo “effetto subwoofer” ma questo c’era da aspettarselo. I medi sono perfetti, soavi al massimo, non c’è quel picco affaticante delle 598cs, le voci sono fantastiche, emozionali. Gli alti sono anche loro perfetti, molto equilibrati seppur brillanti, dettagliatissimi, senza sibilanze o picchi strani. Non credo ci sia il “velo” che c’era nel vecchio modello delle 598, ma forse in queste c’è una leggerissima enfasi.I puristi assoluti diranno che il suono comunque è colorato, i bassi non sono piattissimi (sono -leggermente- enfatizzati e caldi nonostante siano contenuti), e gli alti forse sono un po’ squillanti, ma siamo comunque di fronte a un suono di livello audiofilo con una leggerissima enfasi in basso e in alto.Il soundstage è cambiato rispetto alla 598, ora è forse un po’ meno arioso ma comunque molto ampio, rispetto alla 598 che secondo me aveva un soundstage a tunnel (che a me personalmente non piaceva molto), le 599 hanno un soundstage più preciso, sferico e tridimensionale. In breve, ci troviamo davanti a una versione perfezionata della 598, che già di suo suonava bene, ora perfezionata sui bassi e con quel tocco di brillantezza in più sugli alti. Infine, rispetto alla 598 classica, questa sembra comportarsi meglio con l’equalizzazione, il basso si può incrementare un po’ senza distorsioni (senza comunque arrivare a livelli da “basshead”, mentre la 598 distorceva subito), così come gli alti si possono tranquillamente ridurre per ottenere una sonorità piatta.ISOLAMENTO, AMPLIFICAZIONEL’isolamento in queste cuffie non esiste, essendo cuffie aperte. Averle su o non averle è uguale, sentirete tutto attraverso i padiglioni. Se questo può essere un problema dipende da voi, se state cercando cuffie isolanti passate ad altro (magari alle 598CS). Per me il fatto che non isolano è un punto a loro favore perché posso utilizzarle in casa senza la paura di non sentire il citofono (e se utilizzate Amazon sicuramente conoscete quel sentimento).Ovviamente il suono filtra anche all’esterno, si sentirà tutto stando nella stessa stanza quindi non sono utilizzabili in ambienti pubblici come uffici perché gli altri che stanno nella vostra stessa stanza sentiranno tutto.le 599 hanno la stessa impedenza delle 598, 50 ohm, e anche un volume simile, ma laddove le 598 necessitavano di un amplificatore per suonare nel migliore dei modi (ho letto che avevano un’impedenza di più di 100ohm sui bassi), queste secondo me si sentono bene anche collegate direttamente ad un cellulare. Il volume è molto alto e secondo il mio modesto parere non è necessario amplificarle o equalizzarle in quanto il suono è pressochè perfetto così com’è (ma ripeto, il suono è una cosa molto soggettiva). Inoltre, sempre secondo me, non risentono tantissimo di registrazioni a bassa qualità o video su youtube, per via del suono molto morbido che hanno praticamente tutto “suona bene” con queste (è ovviamente preferibile l’ascolto di file mp3 con un bitrate elevato, o flac, per poter udire tutti i microdettagli che si perdono con la compressione).CONCLUSIONIPer concludere, vi posso dire che secondo le mie preferenze in fatto di suono, queste cuffie rasentano la perfezione. Hanno un suono generalmente piacevole e molto dettagliato, non affaticante, e sono molto comode. Non isolano, sono fatte per essere usate in casa, ma la qualità costruttiva è buona. Valgono il prezzo attuale di 185€? La differenza di costo rispetto alle 598 “si sente”? Forse, dipende da quanto vi piacciono le 598 e da quanto desiderate una versione della stessa cuffia con qualche miglioramento e un suono leggermente diverso e più versatile visto che comunque sono in grado di riprodurre un basso un po’ più corposo e in generale un suono più “aggressivo” rispetto al vecchio modello che restituiva un suono più distante. Sono ideali per generi realistici, film e videogiochi, ma vanno bene anche per musica pop, generi edm veloci come trance e anche al rock grazie al basso più presente e al suono più diretto. Rispetto alle 598CS, hanno un suono meno aggressivo e più fedele, senza picchi di frequenze particolari e sono meno affaticanti in ascolti lunghi e ovviamente non isolano. Altamente consigliate a chiunque voglia un paio di cuffie versatili con un suono di livello audiofilo ma comunque leggermente colorato senza spendere un capitale. Se avete già le 598 e vi piacciono, pensateci bene e valutate la possibilità di fare il reso perché la differenza potrebbe non valere l’acquisto.

Review: Tras romperse mis antiguos cascos decidí romper la hucha y optar a algo de más calidad en la gama de los 140-200. Un poco perdido en el tema navegue y tire de web de audiofilos, aficionados, músicos y de ahí saque mis propias conclusiones y opciones.Por ello, compré varios cascos que ahora procederé a comparar y resumir mis valoraciones hasta decantarme por fin con estos Sennheiser HD599:-Beyerdynamic dt 770 pro: unos cascos cerrados con bastante renombre y recomendables dentro de la gama de los 100 y poco euros. Los encontré demasiado plasticosos y con un sonido demasiado frio y plano. Su unico punto positivo es que son muy cerrados y te aislan de un ambiente muy ruidoso, pero no era lo que estaba buscando ni tampoco mis necesidades.-Soundmagic HP200: Mejores sensaciones que con los Beyer, ya que se trata de unos auriculares abiertos y por ende el espacio sonoro es mucho mas grande, pero tampoco disfruté con lo que escuchaba. Un sonido metálico, demasiado frio y hasta desagradable. Mejor construcción y calidad que los Beyer pero tambien acabaron de vuelta.-Phillips Fidelio X2HR. Ahora si, palabras mayores. Sin duda, los cascos con MEJOR SONIDO que he escuchado. Impresionante. Sonido sobrecogedor. El espacio sonoro es el mayor que he escuchado y aún lo sigo añorando. Graves presentes y potentes (quizas hasta demasiado para ser unos cascos abiertos, pueden llegar a agobiar). La calidad de construcción y acabados es de lujo. El cable, la diadema, las esponjas…parecen más unos cascos de 1500 que de 150. Su pega: su incomodidad. Ya que son unos auriculares enormes y pesados. Al rato se me hacian incomodos y notaba una presión incomoda por la zona inferior del oido y la mandibula. Si para ti los encuentras comodos pues no busques otros cascos, pero en mi caso los tuve que devolver con todo el dolor de mi corazón.-AKG k712 pro. El gama mas alta de todos los anteriormente mencionados. Un lujo ya solo en la presentación, materiales, distintos cables, accesorios… No son baratos pero hay que reconocer que estos austriacos saben hacer muy bien lo suyo. El espacio sonoro es tambien muy bueno, similar al de los Filedio, pero no impresiona tanto su sonido. Este es mas plano, mas natural (analítico lo llaman los expertos). No son unos cascos para disfrutar del sonido sino para profesionales que necesitan escuchar la mezcla sin aditivos ni eq. En mi caso, que no trabajo de la música ni tengo un estudio los devolví ya que no necesito una escucha plana.-Senneiser hd599. Bien, por fin el que nos concierne. Al final me decanté por estos cascos por una sencilla razón de peso, tenian un sonido cálido, orgánico y son increiblemente comodos. Quizás no tienen el soundstage o espacio sonoro de los Fidelio, ni el lujo de acabados de los AKG pero son un promedio positivo en todo. Tienen buenos graves, tienen buena separación de planos y escenario sonoro, son agradables, comodisimos, no pesan….y como dicho, invitan a ponerselos y disfrutar de la música. Su unico punto negativo quizas sea los cables que trae, que tienen un tacto a goma rigida algo fea, pero lo importante, la calidad sonora, es que me gustan mucho.
