And She was EXACTLY Right!Review: AMAZON VINE Review of the OIASKET BLANKET BASKETMy beautiful wife is a woman of singular treasures. When something âSPEAKSâ to her it is immediately apparent. It could be a seashell or a newly fallen leaf or a big black basket on AMAZON. When I showed her this great big blanket basket her eyes lit up like mine do when I see a Ferrari drive by me on the highway. We ordered it and she was ALL SMILES when Uncle Prime (Our AMAZON PRIME Delivery Person) carried the BIG box up the driveway. We met him before he had to climb our little hill, and he delivered our package with his usual smile and a wave as he gets back into his box truck. We see Uncle Prime a LOT.As always, when I review things that were selected by my wife or are for my wife, she always has the first comments. What follows are hers, mine are below.I absolutely love this storage basket! We have Markâs duffel bags and deployment bags and cases and more rucks and packs than any one person should have. But they are ugly and utilitarian, and GREEN or TAN or CAMO! They are NOT what I want to see in my curated Feng Shue rooms! I want pretty and stylish, and versatile. Usable for MANY things, in MANY ways, making it a perfect addition to our home. Which precisely describes my big, beautifully woven BLANKET BASKET!We primarily use it to store our throw blankets, which is especially handy as fall makes its way past our Indian Summer interlude. It will be COOL soon enough with COLD not far behind. The generous capacity of this woven basket means it can hold so much more than just blankets. From kitty toys and deck chair pillows to summer clothes transitioning to storage and beach towels ready for a long winterâs nap, it has proven to be SO handy for so many chores.The portability and flexibility of this basket are two of its defining assets. The two sturdy yet soft carrying handles make it easy to move from one room to another, even when itâs full. This is convenient, especially when we need to quickly tidy up or reorganize. It allows us to declutter after a long weekend and it is especially fantastic for the âFIVE MINUTE AUNT MARY IS COMING OVER TO SEE THE CATS DRILL!âTHIS is when we make OUR house APPEAR to be as neat and tidy as HER HOUSE ALWAYS IS! ONE sweep through the house with this basket and VOILA! Neat, âcleanâ and tidy. And you ALL KNOW why CLEAN is in quotation marks. Prior to this basket we used a big bag that parachutes were collected in after a jump. It certainly worked, but it took both of us to move it through the house and it was not something that could be left in plain sight like this lovely basket with a couple of pillows thrown on top of the clutter.The basket is woven with care and attention to detail. The premium natural cotton rope fiber is soft and safe for everyone in the family, including babies, kids, and pets. We never have to worry about it scratching them or our floors or furniture. When the basket is empty, waiting for its NEXT assignment it is not unusual to find a cat or two taking a nap inside. It is deep, it is dark, and it is soft. They also appreciate it when Mark lays it on its side so they can walk right in and have a nap without having to jump.The neutral smoky black color scheme blends seamlessly into any room, whether itâs the laundry room, bedroom, family room, or living room. Itâs an ideal storage solution for MANY needs and can be easily folded or stored to save space. Just so you know, it arrives FOLDED to ship smaller but filling it with towels or blankets helps it regain its shape quickly. In other words, the SOONER you USE it the better it will be. This basket is a wonderful addition to our home. It is useful, versatile, and pretty combining practicality with style and making its presence felt in so many ways. One OTHER thing that I can say with certainty is there are a LOT of these going out as Christmas presents this year!My turn. First, I hope Aunt Mary NEVER sees this review! And, for the record it is NOT likely that we have EVER fooled Aunt Mary with our clean-up efforts. She just loves her niece too much to mention it.About this big, cat-friendly basket. We have used it for SO many things and the fact that it is machine-washable makes keeping it clean and odor -free simple to do. I knew when my wife first saw this that it was a winner for her, and I am happy to say that the cats and I agree completely. She was exactly right about this big, soft basket.
