Title: Amazing product even though its cheaper & has no reviews!
Review: I was able to get this on sale for $12, but its better quality than the $17-$20 one with great reviews so i would choose this one even if its not on sale, its much louder so you can actually hear it, makes a big difference when your kid cant talk & this is their voice. He learned to use these things so easily, i was so surprised. I just pushed the buttons when they were relevant like when i was giving him a food for only a day & he figured it out right away at 5 years old even though hes severely delayed, food options is what we use the record your own buttons for, so he can ask for what he wants to eat. I HIGHLY suggest these for all autistic kids who struggle to be verbal, my kid can use his words to ask for food every once in a while but usually it makes him too nervous & hell just go without or wait until hes REALLY hungry, hes been eating so much better since we got these devices & he gets to eat what he wants to eat now! Im so glad they make these cheaper AAC devices since we absolutely cant afford the real kind yet.

Title: great
Review: we got this for my father – who is not autistic but was nearing end of life and having trouble talking to caregivers – and sharing information – such as CALL MY SON AT xxx-xxx-xxxxgreat that it has SIX recording buttons – ala hold to record whatever you wantpress to play backall the buttons (aside from those 6 ‘record your own’) say exactly what the button shows – in a nice female sounding voice – volume is plenty loud even in a noisy medical areaat first dad was like – WHY DO I NEED THIS – and quickly started using it just for the JOY of not having to say stuff – or repeat himself – or go into a coughing fit trying to force words outsadly he only enjoyed it’s use for about a day and a half 🙁 and we will miss him terriblyI can’t speak toward ‘autism’ – while dad is on the spectrum it’s never been non-verbal or anything normally associated with uncommon social interactionsthis device however is fantastic – easy to use – big enough to see labelling (even for old eyes – but he did need glasses – and eventually knew the right spots to press – especially for the joking F OFF I recorded for him that he loved the most…and the 2 farting sounds (the last two had our phone numbers because he kept having to share with people who couldn’t be bothered to read the FIVE – BIG TEXT SIGNS that I had put up around the place (le sigh)great little devicecan’t speak to battery lifeI DO HATE that it’s not ‘standard’ batteries such as AA or AAA – used lr44’s – which is dumb (took a star off for that)

Title: NIce, basic, and affordable AAC device
Review: I have 4 children and all are neurodivergent. Of them, 3 of 4 had speech delays and two did not use spoken words much at all until they were 4. One of those two is autistic, while the other just did not speak. We had quite a time finding accessible AAC options for both of those kids, particularly ones we could afford. This Calsonix AAC Device is a great, affordable option to help open communication options up. I showed it to our current speech language pathologist and she thought it was pretty cool, particularly at the price point. It is a simple unit with primarily pre-programed options, though you can customize 6 options to your child/family.The voice on this is robotic. It did not bother any of my kids, but your mileage may vary as every autistic child is different. The size of this unit is nice, my 4 year old had no issues working with it and holding onto it. It does come with a nice little travel pouch. The batteries are included and screwed in, though as a parent I’d probably tape over the battery compartment, as my autistic kiddos were always really good at working those off if there weren’t other barriers in place. This unit does feel fairly sturdy, but it would not hold up with extremely rough use.The options preprogramed are nice. Working with the kids with this is a solid option, as it is a great way to work back and forth on communication, as well as to remove some frustration present when something is needed and they cannot communicate it in a way that gets through to the caregiver. As a parent who has been down this road several times, I think this is a solid device that would be a helpful tool added to a kiddo’s options as they figure out their preferred communication style.

Title: Simple, Portable Communication Help That Actually Gets Used
Review: This AAC device has been a really affordable, practical option for helping with communication. It is easy to carry, the icons are simple to recognize, and recording custom buttons is straightforward.Even though my child is verbal, this helped cut down on frustration when they could not get the right words out fast enough. The volume is adjustable and hits a nice sweet spot, loud enough to hear clearly but not so loud that it feels overwhelming for kids with sensory sensitivities.I also like that it comes with a storage bag. It sounds small, but having a consistent place to keep it helps with routine and makes it easier to stick with using it. Overall, it is a solid tool for supporting communication at home or on the go.

Title: Very thoughtful and just what we needed!
Review: This AAC Device made by Calsonix is a great tool to aid in communication when you are in the home setting. It does come with batteries so it can easily be used upon arrival. The device also isn’t super bulky or large and in fact, it is quite compact. It’s also affordable and comes with a neat little travel case to make it easier to carry with your belongings when going out. To aid in what what voice prompts to press, the illustrations/symbols are clear and are pretty straightforward. There are in total, 30 different voice gestures to choose from and 6 of them can be personalized to add voice phrases that are meaningful to you and your little one (or whoever may need it). Voice phrases range from “I want something to drink” to “Something hurts”. If this were to be a gift for someone, it would be a thoughtful gesture. I would recommend this device!
