Title: Easy Setup, APP Control, and Better Hearing Without Breaking the Bank
Review: These hearing aids arrived fully charged and ready to set up. Setup was straightforward. After reading the user manual, I had them up and running in about 15 minutes.They connected easily to Bluetooth, which is great because I can listen to podcasts or music while still getting assistance from the hearing aids when people are talking to me. I downloaded the APP and had no trouble pairing the earphones. You can then control them from your phone, which is much easier than tapping the earphones themselves to adjust volume or modes. The touch controls are very sensitive, and if you don’t tap just right, the adjustments may not respond as expected.I did experience feedback and whistling in the right ear. The instructions say this can happen if they are not inserted correctly, but both were positioned the same and only the right one produced feedback. It occurs very randomly and I don’t know why it’s happening.One thing I didn’t expect is that hearing aids also amplify internal sounds, like your voice and chewing. That took a little getting used to.They come with a compact charging case and a USB cord. The cord is very short, which limits where the case can sit while charging. On the last charge, I used them for about two hours and they were still at 84% and 82%. I plugged them in overnight and they were fully charged by morning, although I don’t know the exact time required to charge them from empty.They are visible and do not sit fully inside the ear. They look more like earbuds than traditional hearing aids, so they don’t draw attention.They are comfortable to wear and include additional ear domes if the standard size isn’t the right fit.I do wish the directions were printed in slightly larger text.I have about a 20/30% hearing loss in my right ear and about 15/20% in my left. These helped a lot. They helped when I visited the doctor recently. I could hear him much better than usual, and they also make a noticeable difference when watching TV. So far, I have only used the indoor mode. Voices were louder, though not necessarily clearer.The APP allows you to adjust each hearing aid separately or together. There is also a fine tuning option based on your hearing loss. To be honest, it was more involved than I wanted to spend time on. I was a little disappointed because the instructions made me think the APP would guide the fine tuning process, but I did not find a feature like that.I appreciate that they have a cleaning mode. Tap the small button on the bottom of the case, and two minutes later the hearing aids are sanitized with UV light.Overall, these took a little patience to learn and get use to, but they made everyday conversations and television far easier to hear, which is exactly what I wanted without the $1,100 (after insurance) price tag of personalized hearing aids.

Title: Clear sound and easy to use, with minor drawbacks

Title: Excellent OTC alternative to prescription hearing aids
Review: I picked these up for my in-laws, who have both experienced noticeable hearing loss over the last few years. My father-in-law (FIL) uses prescription hearing aids, but my mother-in-law is still a bit resistant to the idea, so I was excited to see if these could bridge the gap and get her to warm up to the idea.For my FIL, these were a huge success. He felt the audio quality was surprisingly close to his professional prescription models. He particularly liked the ability to control the volume independently for each ear (he set one side a level higher to compensate for lopsided loss) and noted that the latency/sound delay was almost imperceptible.Pros:Customizable: 5 volume settings and 3 noise-canceling modes (Indoor, Outdoor, Loud) make a big difference in tuning out ambient noise. (easy to adjust using sequential taps on the earbuds)Comfort: They feel like standard earbuds and come with multiple tip sizes to get the fit right.Battery Life: Very impressed with how long they last on a single charge.Bonus Bluetooth: The fact that they pair as normal headphones is great, and you can still hear the “outside world” while listening to music.Price: 1/10th the cost of the closest “pro” option that was suggested at the last audiologist appt!While these didn’t solve the “denial” factor for my mother-in-law, for someone willing to use them, they are a fantastic value. If you have a family member who needs help but isn’t ready for the multi-thousand-dollar investment of prescription aids, these are highly recommended. They may even be adequate for extended use depending on the type of hearing loss they’re experiencing.
