Title: A Truly Useful Portable Phone/Tablet Mount
Review: With pinched nerves in my neck and a broken shoulder in my past, I find holding something as light as a mobile phone up for reading for extended periods results in pins and needles pain. Make that a tablet device and the pain comes on sooner and harder. So, I am always looking for compact, inexpensive, clever devices that will do the holding for me. I have tried many devices and most have disappointed me.I am very pleased to say that the Ogranee Airplane Tablet Holder Mount meets my need for an easy to carry around device to hold reading/video devices for extended times without pain. It is small. It is reasonably priced. It is easy to use. IT IS EFFECTIVE!While it is marketed as a mounting tool for airline and travel use, watch the video that is provided with the marketing material to get an idea of the full flexibility and usefulness of this device in any situation. It easily holds my Pixel 8 Pro phone and iPad Air tablet. And, as a photographer, I will mention that this device can service as a functional tripod substitute for taking pictures with your personal electronics.Are there any downsides? One – sort of. The spring that tensions the jaws that hold on to the table edge or other clip-able surface has very heavy tension. It is difficult to open the clamping jaws sufficiently to grab on to thicker edges. But maybe that is the muscle loss that comes with old age – which should not be a problem for you buff young specimens. And heavy spring tension gives great jaw grip. I guess it is back to the gym for me! Hey, I can use the phone mount while working out!It has been commented that this device is a little chunky when folded up for storage. I noticed that, but I think that the flexible functionality and strength of this device more than makes up for it’s slightly large folded size. I value light weight and compact size, but I also value – and demand – functionality. This holder delivers.

Review: Purchased it to be used on my home work desk. Very sturdy and I love the flexibility of the tilting options. Use it every day. Only “need for improvement” is that it does not really accommodate any standard cover at all. Mine is really a thin, standard cover but did not fit so had to spend further money in a cover that detaches easily from the IPad. Room for improvement but still very happy with it.
