Some of the most useful kitchen gadgets are often the smallest and simplest. Take a bench scraper, for example—handy for baking and scooping up just-chopped veggies. Another is Aldi’s $3 garlic chopper, which fits in the palm of your hand and makes frequent appearances in the store’s Finds Aisle. If you cook often, it’s a game-changer.
One slightly larger but equally essential gadget is an immersion blender. It’s compact enough to fit in a kitchen drawer, saving precious counter and cabinet space. This blender, which you can plunge directly into a pot to create creamy soups or use to froth ingredients for a homemade pumpkin spice latte, feels tailor-made for fall but is useful year-round.
This week, the Aldi Finds section—full of must-have snacks and kitchen copycats—features an immersion blender that might just become one of your most-used tools this fall. Even better: This nifty item looks awfully similar to a much more expensive name brand.
Aldi’s Ambiano Immersion Blender Is Back
Aldi/Allrecipes
Earlier this year, Aldi sold a $25 immersion blender and food processor combo, with a single base that powers multiple attachments. But if you already own a stand-alone food processor, you might only need a stick blender. This handy tool can go straight into a pot of butternut squash soup or be used with the whisk attachment to whip up a small batch of homemade whipped cream or mayo.
This is definitely the week to grab one of these stick blenders, as it’s just in time for fall (aka creamy soup and frothy hot beverage season). Aldi’s Ambiano Immersion Blender with whisk attachment is comparable to Cuisinart’s $70 version—minus the chopper attachment—and at $14.99, it’s more than 78 percent cheaper than Cuisinart’s version.
Plus, the Ambiano outshines Cuisinart where it counts: motor power. The Ambiano boasts a 500W motor, while Cuisinart’s is just 300W.
Aldi’s stick blender comes in black, white, or pale green. The blender stick with metal blades and the whisk are easy to switch out from the base and are dishwasher-safe (though the base is not).
The Ambiano Immersion Blender will hit the Aldi Finds section on Sept. 3, where it will only be available this week—or until it sells out! So, plan to visit Aldi as soon as possible this week if you’re hoping to score one of these finds.
