Title: Amazing value and easy to install and setup
Review: Worked perfectly for swapping out a three pole switch in my garage. WiFi is stable and works beautifully with my Alexa ecosystem. Didn’t have to do anything once it came online except for rename it. Would highly recommend to automate any light switch. I use it to automate my garage lights when I come home.

Review: I have at least one of all the Echo devices and numerous switches and plugs by various manufacturers. My home is pretty much as “smart” as I can make it (or want to make it). I tried several manufacturer’s switches and the best, most reliable, easy-to-install are by Eufy and Amazon. The most important thing to know is how they respond to a power failure or the internet going down. I have tried switches that you have to basically reset or re-install them individually if you get a power failure. They should come back up quickly and work as though nothing happened when the power comes back on and the internet comes back up. For that reason, I never use smart light bulbs…..when the power goes out, they are ON when the power comes back up. Apparently Eufy no longer sells switches and plugs, but if you have an Alexa environment, Amazon switches are great. They pretty much self install. I only have single pole switches, so I have no experience with the 3-way versions. I have had a lot fun playing with smart switches and plugs and Alexa routines. They turn on my coffee in the morning, control my garage door opener, my gate, cameras, and my thermostats…..and a lot of other things. There are some fun things you can do as well. For example, some years back I bought an old stop light at a recycle center. No circuitry, just the frame with the lights and reflectors. Never done much with it. You can buy a little circuit board that lets you flash the lights in various combinations, but bleah….I wanted it to FUNCTION in some way. As you know, stop lights have a red, yellow, and green. What if I could use Amazon switches and Alexa routines to make it trigger on the garage door? Hmmmm… I purchased three switches and mounted them in a little wooden box and wired them to the three lights in the stop light, calling them “Red”, “Yellow” and “Green”. The “box” just plugs into the wall providing power to the switches. My garage door opener is controlled by a Meross smart opener. That is, I can open and close it with the Meross app or by Alexa voice. It also supports Alexa routines. I can trigger a routine by the door opening or closing. Cool! I created this routine called “Stop Light” to trigger the lights:When: Garage Door (the name of the device) is unlocked.Alexa will:Red will power onWait 5 secondsYellow will power onRed will power offWait 5 secondsGreen will power onYellow will power offWait 5 secondsGreen will power off.The timing here means that the stop light turns green just as the door is fully open. My wife was delighted! LOL! Love these Amazon Basic Switches. Their plugs are great as well. Pretty much standardized on these.

Title: Works great, but huge body to cram in
Review: Installed 3 of the 4 I received and all of them involved some elbow grease to jam into the electrical box.Was unable to install the 4th one since I found that if the light fixture you are sending it to does not accommodate dimming, it will start to slowly turn itself on (like it does with all these switches to be “fancy”) but then turns itself off around 60% like it blew a fuse. Yes, I should have bought a switch when all I needed was a switch, but at the time the sale made the dimmer a cheaper option and didn’t realize it would be an issue. Lesson learned.

Title: Excellent, easy to use and install Smart Dinner Switch
Review: I’ve purchased and installed Amazon Basics smart dimmer switches (both 1-pole and 3-pole) throughout my home. They’re easy to install, easy to use, well-built, and extremely easy to integrate with Amazon Alexa. Once a switch is installed, it can be added to Alexa by scanning the UPC code on the switch itself but I’ve never had to do that because in each case, Alexa auto-discovered the switch shortly after turned the power back on. In terms of use, the switch controls are intuitively placed and easy to use. There’s a large button on the bottom of the switch that also contains a small built-in amber light that illuminates whenever the switch is turned off. This extremely helpful when looking for the switch in a dark room. Above the main on/off toggle button there are to smaller buttons that are used to increase or decrease dimming. Above the dimming buttons are a row of green led’s that indicate the level of dimming. Finally, these are priced far lower than other smart-switches that contain similar functionality.PROS:Easy to install, thanks to the included instructions.Excellent quality.Intuitive design and very easy to use.Small LED’s that indicate switch status (on/off) and dimming level.Effortlessly integrates with Amazon Alexa.CONS:Not compatible with google home. If it was, I would have given this 5 stars.The switch is a bit bulkier than a regular switch. Consequently, it’s a bit of a tighter fit in the electric box. But, I’ve installed over 5 of these so far and have never had a real problem.SUMMARY: These Amazon Basics Dimmer Smart Switches are anything from “basic”. They are well-designed, well-built and more competitively priced than any other smart switch I’ve ever seen with similar features. As a matter of fact, my wife and I like them so much that I’m in the process of replacing almost all of the builder-installed light switches in my house with these.

Review: Compre el switch por la garantía de ser de Amazon, sin embargo, batalle un poco en el uso correcto del mismo en la app de Alexa, ya que por mas que lo intente hacer funcionar, no podía. Investigando, encontré la solución, hay que cambiar la dirección de tu cuenta a una dirección de Estados Unidos, haciendo eso, se habilitan otras funciones en la APP de alexa y permite configurar el dispositivo, ya que, con una dirección mexicana no es posible configurarlo.
