Review: I bought this to read children’s picture books to my 3-year-old son while we are traveling long term in countries where books in English will be difficult to find. He’s also learning to read himself, so I was hoping it would be a give him access to his own reading material. Overall, I’m glad to have it, but the pictures are not very bright and colorful and do not engage him as much as a print picture book. More problematic is the way the letters and spacing on some books is off. It made it difficult for ME to read, but for a beginning reader it would be impossible. Still, the portability is valuable, and I’m sure it will be great once he’s ready for chapter books.

Review: i tried four of the colorsofts when they first launched in october. all had bad discoloration and dead pixels so i was pretty hesitant about purchasing the new model. i ended up choosing the kids version for the two year warranty and the year of amazon kids+. happy to report that there’s no issues with my screen! everything loads up pretty quickly and i actually love the graininess that most complain about as it’s way easier on my eyes.

Review: After going through a first generation Colorsoft (2024 edition) and another Colorsoft 16GB with dead pixels, this one arrived and it’s PERFECT. Yay no dead pixels or uneven lighting/yellow bar. Must-buy with the color book covers and color highlighting is so fun! Try the Moko brand clear glitter case, it’s a perfect fit.
