Title: Lifeline for Communication
Review: As a physiotherapist, I see how isolating aphasia can be when nonverbal adults struggle to express needs or feelings. This communication book is a true lifeline. The large print, clear layout, and helpful cues make it much easier for users to point or gesture rather than fight to speak. It’s practical, dignified, and rooted in empathy—such a powerful tool for caregivers, family, and health professionals. Highly recommend for anyone working to restore voice and connection.

Title: Incredibly Helpful and Thoughtful Resource
Review: I got this book for my mom after her stroke, and it has been such a relief to finally have a way for her to communicate when words are difficult. The pictures are clear and easy to use, and the layout makes it simple for her to point and express herself without frustration. It’s not just useful it’s given her back a sense of dignity and connection. I’m so grateful this exists and would recommend it to any family facing similar challenges.

Title: A practical picture & visual communication tool
Review: I recently got an opportunity to go through this book – it is not a book you read, it is a book you use!Expressing yourself after having a stroke, dealing with dementia, or brain injury can be very difficult. This book for non-verbal adults is a practical picture & visual communication tool designed to help recovering people to express themselves and thus reduce frustration, support their independence, and restore dignity. It is a book that can be used in the home, in rehab, or with caregivers. There are several images from daily life in the book that help non-verbal adults to express needs, feelings, and choices clearly. I think I want some examples of how to use the images, as a caregiver, perhaps stories about how people have used it (in the next edition!). But the images are very well drawn, clear, fairly simple and totally express what they are meant to show.
