Title: ASL Must-Have for Beginners
Review: Large font along with clear image on the front of the flashcard. Clear/concise explanation of hand gesture/positioning/motions along with a hint on the back of the flashcard. I am an ASL beginner and love this boxed set. The boxed set is divided into 4 packs: The Basics (50 cards), Early Vocabulary (50 cards), Familiar Signs (50 cards), and Day to Day (50 cards.) As with any paper product, make sure you wash your hands before using, so the cards last longer. Oils, lotion, etc can break down the material. I love my set so much, I’m thinking of giving this as a gift to my ASL practice buddy. We practice at home, outdoor gardens, at the cafe, sturdy enough for travel. The neutral color palette for the flashcards is easy on the eyes.

Title: Very easy to learn.Zipping through.
Review: I am using this product to improve my grandson’s signing vocabulary. He is very much behind. As a child he was refused sign language classes, because he could hear. It was told to me that he could learn to talk with lots of work. It is too much tell through this media, but let you know is 30 years old and learning these signs really fast. He IS hearing impaired now, but with hearing aids he is still able hear our voices. The categories in this collection is just what we needed as a refresher and as an addition to his vocabulary. We have struggled over the years and tried many techniques. Some were very helpful as this collection is. We also appreciate the size and sturdiness of the cards. My grandson is an adult with limited motor skills.Thank you for being here for us.

Title: ASL flash cards – what’s great & potential drawbacks
Review: The ASL cards are of high quality with rounded edges. They are a nice size (great to use in a classroom – large or small groups, or even 1:1). The upper left corner of the cards are color coded with a thematic word.( Example: Seasons or Colors). On the back side of the card you’ll find an excellent explanation on how to sign the word. A “Handy Hint” is also provided. Drawbacks for me: the word sign is prominently displayed on the front of the card. (I didn’t notice that feature when I ordered them). I ended up covering up with word on the front side with Post it Cover-up tape and that solved the problem. Also, on the color word cards, the actual color is displayed behind the sign as well as around the edge of the card. (See photos for examples). Overall, there is a nice variety of word signs. The high quality of the cards off sets the drawbacks in my opinion
