Title: Amazing phone!
Review: Bought years ago, never got around to writing a review. This phone absolutely is needed for anyone with a landline who gets bombarded with fake calls several times a day. It works great and has been a lifesaver for my elderly parents who still need a landline. Will block unknown or suspected fake numbers. Legit callers can still get thru by dialing an extra button when prompted. 5-stars isn’t enough. Hope they still make it!

Review: I liked the voice instructions to help in setting up the phone. Definitely read the instructions first. The sound quality and volume on my end is fine, but the people on the other end say that it isn’t very loud and some have trouble hearing me.I would like to add some more to my review now that I have used the phone for several months. This phone is awesome! No more robo calls! I have the base at the other end of our house (bedroom) and the 2 handsets in our LR and office. When someone calls – if they are in our directory – the call rings once at the base and then will go thru to our handsets so I know to answer those calls immediately. If it is a telemarketer – the base which is at the other end of the house – rings once and then it doesn’t ring on our handsets so I don”t have to look at our caller ID to see who is calling or anything as then I know it is a robo call. We are retired so we like our naps in the afternoon. No more robo calls waking us up to look at the phone. I also don’t have to rush from anywhere in the house if I am doing something else just to look at the phone and see that it is a telemarketer. Absolutely love it!

Title: seems to work
Review: I picked this up for my 82 year old mother, when she went from old copper phone lines to VOIP. Her old copper phone lines died, and the phone company said that they were going to install fiber optic. Even though it was not available in her area, they stopped doing service on the old lines. So she could do without a phone until they installed the fiber optic, or go with the cable VOIP (she gets bad cell reception at home, so dropping to no home line was not best option). Since VOIP plugs into router box rather than the wall, we had to get her some portable phones so she could have them in different rooms. She got the package, took them out, charged them, hooked them up to her router, ported her phone number over and it all works. For her there was a steep learning curve. She had never owned a cordless phone, went from one on the wall in the kitchen and one in the bedroom to this. She can make phone calls, listen to voice mails, at least on the base unit, adjust the ringer volume, and that is about it, so far (a couple months). Her only complaint, besides all those buttons, is that the base unit is dark, so she has a flashlight next to it. But was very glad it came with a paper instruction book, in English! She is happy to look up things when she needs to figure out something “new.”This is not the newest, or probably the best out there, but was easy enough for my 82 year old mother to master, at least as much as she needs to master, so for her perfect 5 stars!

Title: Love this phone except for one issue
Review: The Call Block on this phone has made our quality of life so much better. We’ve had the phone 8 months and ALL robo calls and spam calls have stopped. It’s been incredible. Our directory and “allowed” callers are filled with our family & friends, including medical providers and service companies. No one else gets through because it’s set so the caller has to state their name and then press #. Most spammers don’t do it, and the robo calls never get that far… they can’t deal with having to follow instructions! The ONLY problem with this phone is the Caller Announcement. It is a computer generated voice, and it’s the worst Siri-type thing I’ve ever encountered. Essentially worthless. Can’t pronounce anything correctly, we laugh at the attempts to pronounce a name. Our relatives are named Simpson. It says “Shimpson”. Instead of Scott it says “Scote”. I mean really AT&T, for such a smart and sophisticated phone can’t you do better than that?

Title: do not buy, spoken volume too low
Review: Last AT&T Dect phone. Zero stars for spoken volume. The very first person I called from the unit could barely hear me. I called my cell phone and left a voice message, using the handset from the base station…the volume was *half* normal.There is no setting to turn up the spoken volume.This was supposed to be the base station for my home office. It is unusable for any professional purpose.

Review: The loudest the “ speaker” will go is substantially way to low unless you are sitting in front of the phone. !!!It will only ring up to 5 rings which is not enough rings to get to the phone in time to answer unless you are already nearby.
