Title: So far, so good!
Review: After two years living with a very expensive prescription hearing aid, I shifted to an OTC product. After a week my Atom X hearing aids seem to be a good help. They are much cheaper than the product they replaced, and seem to be doing a reasonably good job. The only downside is that, being just a week into to this experience, it’s hard for me to give a complete review because — as their product literature says — it takes about a month to get used to these things. Here’s what I can tell so far:The user interface to charge and manage the hearing aids is far simpler than what I have been used to, a very big plus.Battery life seems to be fine, and certainly has not been a problem during the five or six hours a day I’ve been wearing these things thus far.Customer Support has been a pleasant surprise: I spoke with a very nice lady who walked me through the onboarding process and had answers to the several questions that I asked.Note: it’s important to keep in mind the role of the charging pods, which are also the management tool. Because of the pod’s important role in charging and management, and because of the pod’s portability, I hope the manufacturer will consider building-in a tracker chip for the next iteration of this product.

Title: A great product at a very buyable price
Review: I have been wearing my ION OTC hearing aids for 10 days. Are they as good as the $2450 pair purchased 5 years ago? Not quite. However, they are very close for a tenth the cost if you add in audiograms, fittings and setup fees. You only have to take the ION hearing aids out of the box, take a few minutes to read the instructions, place them in your ears and begin hearing every sound around you. Just like the expensive brand I can adjust ION hearing aids for different sound conditions. I dine out frequently and really appreciate the directional sound setting. I prefer to use setting 3 for TV. It seems to brighten the voices inside or outdoors. Since I live in a quiet area, I hardly require the fourth setting. Setting one or three works for me. I am sure that some ION users require the setting as our hearing problems are all different. Finally, the charger. I only have to put the hearing aids in the charger night and put them back in my ear canal when I arise in the morning. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Title: Even better than Atom One
Review: I’ve been using the original Atom for about a year and a half and found it to be an excellent value for the price. The new Atom X improves on it in nearly every way, especially in ease of use. The ability to adjust the volume precisely — without reaching for a tiny screwdriver — is a big plus.I haven’t explored all the listening modes yet, but overall sound clarity is noticeably better than with the original Atom. Bluetooth connectivity, one of my main reasons for upgrading, works flawlessly.Product support from Audien has been outstanding. The onboarding video call (thanks, Kendel) was informative and would be especially helpful for first-time users.

Title: Good hearing aids and customer service but stopped working due to a manufacturing defect
Review: The earphones work well. I have tried before other budget ones that had too much feedback or that made certain sounds too loud for me while not addressing the sounds that I struggle hearing for. They still have some feedback when putting them in and had issues changing modes where I would end up only changing the volume. I still believe that is something you can get used to and since the sound that they make is just right for my condition I am glad to have bought them. Unfortunately, after a few months they stopped working. They just simply started getting quieter until they stopped making any sound. I called them to get a replacement and was directed to a person very quickly. The lady was helpful and helped me troubleshoot and then process the replacement in under 30 minutes. I am still waiting for my replacement though. Very good except for that manufacturing defect.

Title: They work as advertised plus!
Review: These are fantastic. I first bought Apple Ear Pods Pro. That was supposed to work as hearing aids. Only if you have an Apple phone. Even though in the FAQ it said they hooked up to Android. They do hook up but only as Earbuds. Great sound but no hearing aids. Really don’t want to spend $1100 for a new phone. Then I bought another hearing aid for $297. They worked ok but really hard to control the squeal. I saw these on Glen Beck and tried them. I am so glad I did. They are super easy to set up with my existing phone. the sound on the music part of the app is not as good as the Apple but they work seamlessly as hearing aids, answering my phone or listening to music. Fantastic ease of control on the charge case. Highly recommend them.
