Title: Great Under-Cabinet Lights with Seamless Alexa Integration
Review: I purchased three Black & Decker under-cabinet lights, and I’m thrilled with them! Installation was a breeze—took minutes to set up using the strong adhesive provided, which holds securely. Linking to my Alexa account was automatic during purchase, so they connected instantly once plugged in. The Alexa integration is flawless; I can adjust dimness and light colors effortlessly via the app or voice commands. These lights are user-friendly, versatile, and a great addition to my smart home. Highly recommend!

Title: 5 star product; one glitch
Review: I’m very happy and impressed with these Black and Decker lights. They are a bit pricey at regular price, but they were simple to install and I had no problems connecting them to Alexa.I think two things made connecting them easy: be sure to check the box on the purchase page where it says something like “link these to your account”, and be sure to download the Black and Decker app; follow the instructions on the box and in the app.I’ve bought 3 sets so far, two of the 3-light sets and one 24″ bar for another room. It took longer for me to plan out exactly where I wanted them than it did to install them. After installing and connecting the first set, all I had to do was just install and plug in the other sets. Alexa recognized them without me having to do anything.Being able to set routines up is handy. I schedule my kitchen lights to go on “nighttime” mode at bedtime, and my bedroom lights come on at 9:30 pm.The motion detection works well *but only if your hand is an inch away* from the sensor. I think for most people it’s much more convenient to simply use Alexa, or make certain the sensor is in a spot that’s easily accessible for your hand. These aren’t motion lights that will sense you walking by; you literally have to pass your hand 1″ from the control box/sensor for the sensor to work. It’s a non-issue for me because I have it right where I can get to it on two of my light sets, and the other I strictly control with Alexa because the sensor is in an inconvenient place. The light settings are very adjustable in temperature and brightness. On the brightest setting they give off plenty of light.I suggest you try them in the place you want them before mounting them. They need to be shielded a bit, by your cabinet trim for example, because you’ll probably find them too bright to look at directly. For instance, I tried them under my counter, but when sitting on the couch facing that direction, they were bothersome.I mounted all of mine using the 3M stickers that come with the lights, and it holds perfectly. My only other suggestion is to buy more lights than you think you want. Once you get them you’ll be looking for more places you can add these.I can’t think of a negative for these, other than the light I recently added (24″ single bar) will turn on randomly – but it’s Alexa doing this. It operates fine otherwise, with the app or voice commands, but for whatever reason Alexa is turning it on at 4:45 p.m. on her own. They work as advertised (excluding my single Alexa glitch with the one light) and are a great addition to my kitchen and bedroom.

Title: You get what you pay for.
Review: These cabinet lights are a good, solid product. I bought these for a friend and we installed them in her kitchen – the third cabinet lights we tried. The first set was one with 3 small led lights on a short strip of tape linked together with short wires. The leds were bright and light was cast sideways as well as down so the back splash was well lighted. However, the tape mounting strips eventually fell off the cabinet and the on/off control failed. The 2nd set were similar but the wiring was sloppy and of questionable safety so they were not even worth installing. The B&D 9 inch, 6 light set, was much more substantial than either of the first 2 and more expensive. Not quite as bright and light casts downward, not so much on the back splash. There are 3 light color choices and all are dimmable. They were easy to connect to Alexa and worked well with her guidance. There is also a motion sensor on/off control with dimming capability and 2 choices for plugging in connector wires. Each light strip mounts in 3 small clips that have adhesive tape that sticks to the under side of the cabinet. The light strip can slide back and forth in the clips and are connected to each other with wires with small plugs on the end. The only install downside is the kit includes several lengths of these connector wires and it is not possible to order other lengths except for one a108 inches long. Wire clips with adhesive strips hold the connector wires between strips and we found the extra length of the connector could be looped up into cracks between the cabinets. Lastly the light strip clips have a hole in them so it is possible to use a small screw (provided) to fasten the clip to the cabinet. However the adhesive mounting tape was a good quality and has held well, so far. Alexa compatibility adds much to the value of this light kit. It helps to have 2 people for the installation.

Title: worth the price
Review: Amazon lists many different products for use as under-cabinet kitchen lighting, and many of them are priced far below what these Black&Decker-branded ones cost… but these were definitely worth the money.I needed devices that were shorter than 10″ for some of my cabinets, and these fit the bill. I bought two kits: one with 6 light bars, and one with 5 light bars. Each kit came with power supply, controller, and a variety of interchangeable interconnect cables of varying lengths. The lights, controllers, and cables employ clever metal clips with a 3M-branded sticky pad that is very strong, and there were plenty of extra clips. The lights themselves are bright, with four different selectable color temperatures. The controller has an IR sensor so the lights can be turned on/off by just waving your hand beneath it. The intensity is adjustable, as well. The system is wifi compatible, and interfaced quickly to my iPhone. Using their app, you can turn the lights on/off, change the color temperature, and adjust the intensity. My only problem is that while one of the controllers quickly connected to my iPhone, the other did not. Perhaps there is a way to do that, but it’s not something I plan to use… I just wave my hand to turn them on or off, and I leave the color temperature and intensity where it is.In short, the system is high quality, easy to install, and comes with enough clips and an assortment of interconnect cables in different lengths to accommodate nearly every installation.
