Title: Comfortable and clean
Review: My grandfather told me that he can now hear grandchildren clearly, even in a crowded playroom. Per him it is comfortable and easy to manage, and he appreciate the clarity they provide. He can finally enjoy conversations again without straining to hear. Charges fast and last longer. They are easy to clean, it comes with changeable plug.

My audiologist says my loss is moderate with a downward slope in need of boosting higher frequencies. My point of view is that of an audiophile with his first pair of hearing aids.The aids come with more dome (silicone tips) than what the ad states. You get four sizes of closed power domes, three sizes of open domes, and one tulip dome. You have an extensive choice based on where you are going to be and/or what is most comfortable.Uploading my audiogram resulted in a significant improvement in conversation clarity, making interactions seamless even in crowded settings like my ophthalmologist’s hallway. I often forget that I am wearing hearing aids, particularly when using open domes.The sound stage is well defined and sound sources are properly located. Feedback is very rare.Music is better served through earbuds or headphones than streamed via Blue Tooth on any hearing aid. There is a useful web site where you can compare different aids for voices, noise and music. This 128-channel model is not on the site to try. Though some on the site are better than others, none are as good as earbuds or good headphones. Same with phone calls. Blue Tooth streaming lacks bass and sounds distant and thin. The BlaidsX Neuros like many other Blue Tooth hearing aids require you to speak into the phone’s microphone to be heard.Blue Tooth music aside, The BlaidsX Neuros sound character is most like the Lucids for hearing aid assisted conversations on the HearAdvisor web site if you want to get an idea of what you’ll hear. There are a plethora of adjustments that can be made through the app and if you don’t feel like tackling them, Blaids will do it for you. They answered my first call on the first ring, the next call went to voicemail.These are keepers. They offer excellent value, outperforming others that cost significantly more. Also, with the anticipated advancements in features such as Auracast transmitting high-quality sound in theaters and improvements in AI, investing heavily in more expensive sets may not be prudent at this time.

Title: Works well, nice options, but could use a better app
Review: This doesn’t work as well as my wife’s $5,000 prescription hearing aid, but it sure isn’t more than $4,000 worse than hers. In fact, it’s pretty much on par with some exceptions.First, the prescription model comes with a personally fitted earpiece. However, there are so many earpiece attachments that you should find one that works well for you. Even if you can’t, the company will make a personally fitted earpiece for you (they call it a dome). I’m unsure how they do that, but I found a good pair in the included set.The user manual is well written and easy to follow, but the app is a bit more confusing. It does not flow naturally, so you must poke and peek to find what you want. Still, it’s a minor inconvenience since you won’t need to use it often after you set your parameters and options.After I got rid of the feedback (it took a while for me to find the right attachments for the earpieces and figure out how to seat them correctly in my ears), it really made a big difference in what I could hear.I got these instead of a prescription because I thought my hearing was not very bad, and I didn’t need to spend $5000. Well, I discovered two things: 1) My hearing is worse than I thought. Once I got these dialed in, I realized just how much I was missing without them. 2) I’m glad I found out by buying these hearing aids, because I also discovered that while my hearing was worse than I thought, these hearing aids work almost as well as the $5000 pair. And the main difference, my wife said, is that her set has the prescription fitted earpieces and her app is a bit more user-friendly. You can have a custom-made earpiece for this set, and I have no idea how much they charge, but I’m sure it’s not $4000!Take some time to learn about hearing aids, play with the settings (or bring them to an audiologist), and I am certain that you will be surprised and pleased to find that you got a set that’s as good as sets costing thousands more.
