Here’s a great #shorts recipe on how to make braised red cabbage which goes great as an accompaniment to a meal and also has the added benefit of being vegan!

My recipe does have quite a sharp taste to is which I like in contrast to the savoury flavours it will accompany all though there are many optional extras you can add to change the flavour to your liking such as adding a touch of sugar to make it no so sharp or if you were making this for a spacial occasion such as Christmas you could add in a cinnamon stick and some orange zest.
Basic Braised Red Cabbage Recipe:
450g Shredded Red Cabbage
275g Red Wine
65g White Wine Vinegar
6g salt
I add in a couple of teaspoons of apple sauce for a little sweetness.
You can add in whatever extras you like according to your preference.
This recipe is great as it’s an all in one pot and place on the stove so can sit cooking away while you carry our other tasks while preparing your meal.
