Title: Works for Dementia!
Review: Got this for my dad who has Lewy Body Dementia. The weighted handle helps him keep his grip on it much better. They seem sturdy and the metal part seems like high quality. We only use the fork and spoon for safety reasons so not sure how well the knife works. We paired this with a bowl and plate set designed for Dementia patients and we haven’t had any spills or dropped utensils in the few days we’ve had this product. Definitely recommend!

Title: Effective for diminishing tremors.
Review: The set is well made, heavy but superbly balanced and fits well on the hand. With the weight it significantly diminishes tremors making dining more enjoyable. Dishwasher safe is convenient and practical.Based on our experience I would highly recommend this product.

Title: I despise the knife it has no serrations
Review: I misunderstand the type of tool that this was, so understand that as I speak about it. I thought this was a slightly built up handled weighted feeding tool. That was my misunderstanding and not the fault of the manufacturer.Due to the fact that it is built up, however, there is a slight amount of added weight but nowhere near an actual weighted utensil.I was advised to use a 7 oz weighted tool for feeding for myself. I have apraxia, and tremors which this feeding tool has helped with moderately. As noted above because it is built up there is slightly more weight to it so there is some benefit there. What I did love about this particular tool is the stop at the front of the handle before the actual utensil parts. it makes it more difficult for it to slide out of your hand and you put your hand in your food. That is a problem that I experience on occasion, so that is much appreciated.I enjoyed the fact that instead of it being a bulky round built up tool, it is a more flattened version but still built up. For me, personally, it is easier to hold due to that fact. I have difficulty holding the extremely huge round feeding tools that are built up. With those, I have to feed myself like it’s a shovel. I prefer more humanistic approach and eating, such as being able to hold my eating tools properly. I can use this European style or American style.what I hate about this, and I mean absolutely hate, is that the knife has zero serrations. meaning that I’m essentially smashing my food into bits and I cannot see how this would possibly work on anything tougher than even chicken. I tried to eat an andouise sausage with it today, and all it did was squish out the meaty bits onto my plate. Then of course there’s a hot mess on my plate that’s all squished everywhere. for someone with limited dexterity and trouble with swallowing, this was not ideal. In fact, I just quit eating the sausage because it was spewing all over my plate instead of being cut up into relatively nice round bits that I could manipulate easier. I mean, I like andoise sausage but I basically picked it because it would be easier for me to manipulate. It’s meat in a tube, and then it wasn’t. So that was something that I definitely would not rate as good.Overall, if you needed a slightly built-up handle that was more flat than round, this is a wonderful tool. Well, except for the lack of serration on a dull knife. I mean I wasn’t expecting Chicago cutlery, but I could have just as well tried to cut it with my fork and mash it all up.

Review: My husband is losing the use of his arms and hands and this set has the only fork that he can use to allow him independence. The utensil handles are not round but flatter and this is what allows my husband to use the fork effectively. We have tried others and this is the only one that works for him. I bought a second set just to have a second fork on hand. This set came very quickly and in a nice carrying case. Highly recommended!
