Title: Great option to an expensive subscription
Review: I bought this after my uncle had some hear issues. It had a doorbell that rings where you plug it in. It also has an option to put it on your home alert. So he can alert my phone wherever I am. So far we have only had to test it and it’s worked well. Price is good for what it does and needs no subscription. The plug in part was easy to install but the phone option took me a little longer. I followed somone else’s review to get it done. The only thing that would be nice would be if I could change its ring tone on my phone and make it louder. This is the phone app the actual plug in ringer is fine.

Title: Cost effective emergency care giver alert system without a monthly subscription
Review: We were looking for an alert with the ability of alerting the live-in caregiver when mom needs help. A secondary function is to alert remote family as a backup. We didn’t want a subscription type alert since there’s a caregiver on site. This kit fits the bill in several ways. The kit comes with a plug in chime (notification speaker), 2 round alert buttons that can be mounted on furniture/walls -or worn as a necklace, and 2 wall mounted alert buttons that can be activated using the button or pull string. The kit comes with adhesive pads to attach the devices so screwing in isn’t required. The square devices take 2 AAA batteries (included) but the buttons come with batteries already installed. The devices weigh nearly nothing. Each device can be given a different name so you know which button location was pressed. We used the smart life app to connect the chime to the WiFi. It takes very little pressure to activate the alert. We were getting false alerts when mom wore the necklace under her top so we configured them differently to minimize the false ones. The cell notification is very basic. It comes through the Smart Life app as a notification. I had to turn on all the notification options for the app for it to make a sound, show a banner and stay on the home screen. Anyone wanting to be alerted must download the app and be invited by the registrant. What would have made this better is if it linked to Alexa and the ring camera so live viewing of the nature of the emergency were possible. For a lower cost option this system works for us. We just have to train mom to use it when she needs help.

Review: This has been a lifesaver for my family member and I, it works great and extra points for the fact that I can get notifications on my phone when I’m outside the house and she needs something

Title: Expensive waste if time
Review: There are no instructions, no box, no name of app to download. It’s just a portable doorbell kinda think. I have no instructios, no name of product. Price is super high for a mobile doorbell. Does not serves as safety device. It is not loud at all. It does not works. All I got is what’s in the pictures. Waste of time and money. If I could give it a -🌟 I would do -5 statrs.

Title: Sensitive
Review: It works well and was fairly simple to connect. Our only issue with it is that the button is so sensitive. The slightest touch sets it off which means it rings continuously during the night.

Title: Works with US wifi; Easy to use for Elders; sends notifications to Phone for working adults
Review: I got this system for my mom. She is in her 80’s and still very independent. I worry about her because she is alone at home, and I work full-time. I have tried various methods for her to communicate with me in case of emergency. She forgets to carry her phone, she forgets how to get the echo to call me. She needs a simple solution.A one-button click is the easiest and best answer for her arthritic hands, and hard to see eyes. Once she presses the button, I get sound and visual notifications on my phone. I can then drop-in on her echo devices for 2-way voice communication. This gives me greater peace of mind for her safety.Setting it up was a little difficult. Don’t let the 2.4GHz deter you from getting this device. With a little online research, I found out that 5G home internet systems automatically come with 2.4G (in the background). I watched a video about it, but I could not understand the accent; That’s OK, the visuals came in handy. We are on the ATT system; The modem has a link for changing parameters. Don’t worry about changing anything.Basically, I opened up the gateway in my laptop, navigated to the wifi advanced window … and I noticed that everything was already set up right (that may not be the case for you). The magic was that while i had the gateway open on my laptop, the device was finally able to connect to the 2.4G wifi. (I had to tap into the gateway for the SOS device to connect.) Having persistence is key.My box came with 4 devices, so figuring out which was which took a bit of playing around. They have a lot of sound options. 5 Levels of loudness, and 32 ringtones. They also come with 3 different work modes: Acoustic-optic, Sound, and Lighting. I chose Acoustic-optic because it has both light and sound. So you can pick what works best for you. Each device comes with batteries, and little paper tabs to keep the battery fresh from the warehouse. You have to pull out the tabs for the battery to start functioning. I had to slide out the backing of the stringed device to find the paper tab and pull out; the batteries I found there are replaceable. I haven’t figured out how to open the round device that hangs around the neck, but I can tell that it is made to open. The devices are made of plastic and have large buttons. I will be hanging the square one in the shower, and I have the round neck one by her bed so she can put it on when she wakes in the morning. The package comes with glue-squares for hanging on walls, and they also come with screws. This makes the devices very functional almost anywhere in the house. As a medical assistive device, I think the price point is great. Moreover, you don’t have to purchase a separate cell service chip for it. It is great that it connects to existing wifi, and the SmartLife app works on iphone (perhaps android too).
