Title: True to photo
Review: I’m packing these with maps for travel so they need to be light weight, and easy to carry on person. Some of the names of roads on travel maps are printed in very small font making it difficult to read, even with 20/20 vision. These are exactly as described and the photo is accurate. The 2.5X magnification and its size is adequate to read a full text line without having to move the lens to read each word.

Title: But this material is a pro not a con since it provides better clarity. Great product
Review: This is a very well made product and reputable company. This is so practical I keep it in my purse so when I go grocery shopping and try to read the stickers on the produce I actually can with this magnifier. The size is that of a credit card. It is made of hard rather than flexible plastic and I see how this could possibly crack if not handled properly. But this material is a pro not a con since it provides better clarity. Great product. I would highly recommend it!

Title: Inexpensive but very functional +2.5x reading magnifier, with a 6x dot for close up work
Review: The good news is that this magnifier is made of plastic sturdy enough to work well as a Fresnel lens, unlike others I’ve tried that are softer and more flexible. The 6x dot is also a plus for closeup tasks like digging out a splinter. As others have noted, this plastic is brittle enough to break when bent, so don’t plan on keeping them loose in a pocket. The included plastic covers are welcome for keeping the lenses clean, but too thin to pad it much and may not last long in active use. So for me, these are kept in my bike bag and in my car, for emergency use in reading after cataract surgery, and (if need be) to start a fire on a sunny day if there’s ever a need to do so and no better way handy. Good value.

Title: Works well as a magnifier, until it breaks!
Review: As a magnifier, it works quite well. I was drawn to this particular product because of the higher magnification “dot” in the corner of the lens. I like to keep a magnifier in my first aid kits (cars, hiking, etc). The problem with this product is not that it doesn’t work for what it’s designed to do (magnify) – it’s great at that. However, the durability is poor, as others have clearly noted. There are many types of plastic; some are quite flexible, others are quite brittle. Unfortunately, they made this item out of the “wrong stuff.” Something like this, meant to be put into a wallet or other small spaces (like a first aid kit) that may flex, get dropped, squished into backpacks, etc., should be made out of a flexible material. This item is made out of a very brittle plastic which cracks way too easily for what it’s meant for. I recently had to use one of the ones I’d bought to examine a cut that my daughter had received. I pulled it out of my kit and it had shattered at some point during storage (that being in a first aid kit sitting in a seat back pocket in our car; hardly traumatic. I might be able to accept heat damage, but looking at other reviews, I have to conclude that the material is wrong). While the largest piece of it worked for what it was intended (so I’m giving it 3 stars), it was disappointing to have found it shattered. I just tossed the pieces after I’d used them. Beware if you’re buying it for the purpose I did. If you’re just going to carry it loosely in your pocket, or sit it on a shelf, maybe it’ll be fine. But I do not think that the material is appropriate for what it’s really designed for.

Title: Great for checking expiration dates
Review: I keep one in my purse to check pesky expiration dates that are camouflaged (black print on dark blue packaging). Quicker than using the magnifier on my phone which often picks up the glare from florescent lights.

Title: Much better than trying to remember to take my reading glasses into stores.
Review: I started needing reading glasses for labels, etc about 5 years ago.I almost always forget to take a pair of reading glasses with me when I go shopping, to doctor appointments where they want you to fill out all those forms, etc.I put a pair in my car for that reason but still have only remembered to take them into the store one time.I decided to get these, one for my wallet, one I gave to my mother for her purse, as she forgets to take her glasses into stores too.It works great. If there’s something I want to see the fine print on I just pull this out of my wallet and can read without having to hold the item far way from my eyes as I can get, which most of the time makes the words so small even though they are in focus now they are too small to read. OR WORSE… having to ask someone that works there or a younger person: “What does this say?” ..so embarrassing.. I think anyway. On the really fine print the 6x “spot lens” on this works fantastic.

Title: Useless, but to cheap to bother returning
Review: I got these because I don’t like carrying reader glasses and since I always have my wallet I figured I’d always have a magnifying card with me. But the magnifier doesn’t work, at all. The tiny little dot magnifier works great, but it’s too small to really read any more that a few letters at a time. The card itself magnifies a tiny bit, but also blurs everything out so you can’t see things clearly. At least they were so cheap I’m not even going to bother returning them.

Title: Better than reading glasses.
Review: Works as intended. They are somewhat brittle and will crack with heavy use. Other than that, no issues.

Review: This is a great help to read small print and I can have it with me all the time in my wallet. Very helpful in supermarkets to read small printed ingredients lists and nutrition information. The lens itself is credit card size and would fit into any credit card slot. It comes with a protective sleeve, which is a little bigger and would nit fir into a credit card slot.
