Title: Oversized Is Right..!
Review: It’s big, ahah. I thought a 5” magnifying glass was what I wanted but it’s much bigger in person. If you’re going for a costume look, like I was, you can’t beat the oversized effect though. Sturdy, heavy (in a good way), high quality magnification. Also the green is more of an olive than a deep green, fyi, and it says Carson on the handle. Still, worth the few extra bucks!

Title: When I came across Carson BigEye Magnifier I knew it would be the perfect Christmas Stocking Stuffer
Review: My Mom using a petite magnifier every single day. She uses it several times a day rather than wearing her prescription glasses. The magnifier is approximately 2″ in diameter. I have noticed she is not seeing as clearly with her “EYE” that’s her nickname for the magnifier. When I came across Carson BigEye Magnifier I knew it would be the perfect Christmas Stocking Stuffer. Amazon’s Prime had the magnifier in my hands in a few days. The quality appears to be there and the magnification is 2x. There is a small amount of distortion once you surpass the focal length this would be true at any cost. Title: Big Surprise? Nope – just big view
Review: Provides sufficient magnification for my needs and was what I expected to get. Reading the miriad of reviews for magnifiers it is boggling that any reviews would actually be useful. There seem to be just as many people satisfied with a particular product as the next and many distractors that get fully into the technical aspects of diopters and true measurements of X-magnification specified in the product description compared with what they experience. This product for the price and the size was what I needed. A large field of view (only slightly distorded at the edges): Check. A focal length that allows me to work on painting fine detail at a distance that is comfortable and unobstructed: Check. A price that I was happy with: Check. This magnifier is acrylic and provides a clear view. It is not glass and so I will have to be very careful with dust and scratches. Overall I can’t find any fault in the product that would warrant less than 5 stars. If you are a technical nut that needs to have a VERY specific level of magnification, buying online may be a less than ideal approach as you cannot validate before you get it in your hands.
