Title: Very good lens
Review: This 2.5x magnifier is very good. You get a clear, sharp, undistorted view of whatever you are viewing.I do not know how scratch resistant the lens is.I would have preferred that the lens had a frame, to help avoid touching the lens.It takes two AA size batteries, if you want to use its built-in light, which is very good. It will not turn the product into a flashlight. But it will provide proper lighting for whatever you are reading. This item has a fold-out part to let you stand it up, so you can use it without your hand shaking it. Good for passing stuff under the glass (probably plastic), rather than moving the glass over the stuff. And you can adjust the tilt of the stand. It is not the most solidly built product. But good luck finding any magnifying glass that is not made in China or has excellent build quality. Perhaps a high-tech lab knows where to get them?Although the build quality is nothing special, it should last over the long haul, if you are careful with it (so don’t drop it or step on it).Lastly, I am returning mine for a replacement. Why?I received someone else’s return. Mine came in a ripped open package, with two small pieces of tape holding the package together. By “package”, I do not mean the box that it was shipped in. I am talking about the packaging from the manufacturer. So I never took mine out of that package. Yet, I know all about this product, because before I found it on Amazon, I purchased one from Staples. Amazon’s price is better. I needed another one, so I ordered it from Amazon, and got someone’s return.

Title: Great Magnifier
Review: I work with legal documents and sometimes the print can be very small. This magnifier helps me prepare these documents without struggling to see the tiny print. The quality and build are very nice.

Title: Handy magnifier for reading or small projects
Review: I bought two of these, and gave one to my Dad, who now uses it often. It looks sort of cheap, and is larger than I expected, but is actually built pretty well. It is definitely to big to fit in a pocket. I am concerned that the lens could get scratched though since there is nothing to protect it, but that is just a matter of taking care of it. The light is bright enough, and the stand is handy for working on projects. The 5.5x spot is a bit too small to be easy to use, but I have used it in a pinch. For the right price it is a nice magnifier to have on hand.

Title: Great for looking at detail
Review: I bought this to look at coins details. I have also used it for viewing other small items and details, too.The included light provides for illuminating the item being viewed for better visibility. The foldability allows for either hands free use, or to use as a handheld magnifier. For the price, this works well for me as an occasional need. If, though, I were to need a magnifier on a more regular basis and a with bit easier to view higher definition of detail and on a regular or more frequent basis, then I would probably invest in something higher end.

Title: A Basic Magnifier
Review: I’m not a big fan of the LED color or placement (doesn’t line up for viewing). The effort required to open the magnifier to the ‘hands-free’ position requires conscious thought to get it open. The worst thing is the distortion through the lens, especially the smaller ‘mini-mag’ portion. I wasn’t expecting super high quality for the price but I was expecting basic usability. I wanted it for the hands-free set up for examining knife blades as I sharpened them. Also periodic handheld quick examination. I have gone back to the handheld magnifier I has used previously.

Title: Cheap and invaluable
Review: I got this for next to nothing and it has provided me so dang much assistance that they should charge more! (Now that I have mine that is!) ha. But seriously, I don’t like to think that I am so old that my eyes are giving out on me but I will admit that this sucker helps me thread my sewing machines and my serger with total ease. It also is a life-saver when it comes to finishing a cross-stitch project I started over a decade ago and gave up on because it was too hard to figure out where to put the needle. I can think of many other uses for this as well…anywhere you need magnification and light you can use this puppy. It is pretty versatile and hands free so yay.

Title: Love this Magnfier
Review: This is such an easy magnifier to use. I can just grab it like it’s my pen and it’s easy to turn on the light. Although my magnification needs have changed, I still use it, because it is easier than the one I should be using for my current magnification needs. Plus the price was great. I have three of them around the house which helps me to not have to run to another room to find one. I have not used the stand portion as that seems awkward, not enough depth to spread the light. Having no border around the edge is different, but I find it better than ones that do have a border, because with this one my vision isn’t blocked by a frame. I need to find a cloth cover to store them in at night, so they don’t get scratched easily or dusty. Then again, they are inexpensive. I do wish they came in stronger magnification, because I had to buy my current one from a low vision clinic as i am losing vision and so far I have only found 2.5 x magnification in the Carson brand. I really am very pleased with the product and would recommend it to a friend.

Review: I love how I can set it hands free and even with lights on. The 5.5x spot lens is too small and I find it pretty much useless, but some may find use of it. I bought two and gave one for my old folks and they love it too. The lens is of good quality as well.
