Title: Perfect travel companion
Review: I used this for extra contacts, contact holder and drops. It wouldn’t hold a small bottle of contact solution but that’s okay. It was great for keeping everything within easy reach.

Title: CASEMATIX Contact Lens Travel Case: Navigating the Pitfalls of Simplicity
Review: So, you probably think that something this simple and low-tech couldn’t engender a whole lot of opinion or content for a review. So did I. I would not have thought I would have much of an opinion, but after getting the CASEMATIX Travel Case for Contact Lenses for my wife’s daily wear contacts, I realize just how badly things can go from an under-engineered product. To be clear, not all of these things have actually been a problem yet, but my job, as the family’s Operations Manager, is to avoid sub-optimal situations. To start with, the ABS case is sturdy and the right size for a half dozen pairs of contact lenses in their factory sealed packaging. Presumably, you would fully open the sturdy zipper closing the case and designate the side on the left as the one for the left contact lenses and the other side for the right. Pretty simple. Each side of the case has an elastic band inside to hold either a box containing the contact lenses or, if you are like my wife, your boxes are bigger and you have a length of 3 individual contacts packaged together. Each side will hold 2 of those lengths of contacts. And there is the biggest issue. As you use the contacts, you snap off and throw away the used package. At some point, there is not enough packaging to allow the elastic strap to work. And, at that point in time, I definitely recommend that you know each eye’s prescription, because the single left lenses will absolutely intermingle with the single right lens packages. This issue could have been alleviated with an additional strap perpendicular to the first. Better yet, a mesh netting to hold each sides’ contents should be employed, but that precaution is lacking in this. My wife is going to keep using this case, but since we, frankly, don’t wish to expend the energy to physically modify the case, I came up with a safeguard: On each side of the case, I wrote out and attached a label marked with each eye’s prescription. At least this way, when they mix together, we will at least know which contact belongs where. Absent that, we could label each contact going in the case with a “L” or “R.”The case includes a removable carabiner in case you want to clip it onto a backpack or purse when traveling or just going about your day, but a loose case seems to be the least of our concerns. While the case itself is solid, the oversight in design is a significant drawback. If you’re meticulous about keeping your contacts organized, this case might frustrate you sooner or later. The lack of a secondary strap or mesh netting to secure individual lenses as the packaging diminishes is a missed opportunity for the manufacturer to provide a more user-friendly experience. The CASEMATIX Travel Case for Contact Lenses earns a three out of five stars. It’s a functional case that serves its primary purpose but falls short in addressing a crucial organizational aspect. If you don’t mind implementing your own labeling system or modifying the case, it could still be a reasonable choice. However, for those seeking a more foolproof and thoughtfully designed solution, exploring other options might be worth considering.
