Title: Great for hearing impaired or noisy environments
Review: This little remote phone ringer is a great idea for many situations. Certainly if you have difficulty hearing or if you’re in a noisy environment the loud ringer (can be adjusted) and the flashing lights are almost impossible to miss.The ringer is easy to set up and pair, took minutes, paired rapidly, no issues. This unit doesn’t require an app.You do need an electrical outlet or usb port as it’s not a rechargeable item. The package comes with both the usb cable and an a/c adapter.The ringer is loud and crisp, there’s a volume adjustment button on the top making it easy to use. There is no on/off button that function is controlled by plugging it in or pulling the plug out. There is a switch on the side where you can choose to be notified of messages/calls/both.The instructions are clear and are printed in large, contrasting font. The product is well designed for seniors who may have trouble reading small, light print. Very thoughtful.The ringer continues to flash and ring until you check the phone for the call or message. The ringer only flashes for messages, it rings and flashes for calls.This will also notify you with flashing and 1 ring if you have your phone set up to receive notifications from an app. Very useful if you have a weather app on your phone so you can be notified of severe weather alerts.There’s an accept and decline button, the only description for it in the instructions are it’s intended for answer and hangup of phone calls. I do not know if it works on text messages. I haven’t tested this feature yet but will update when I do.My only complaint is about the flashing lights. They strobe and that is fine once or twice but if you’re not near the phone to check it’s annoying that it continues. These lights might also be an issue for those sensitive to flashing lights and there should be a way to choose to shut them off. This may be fixed by pressing the ignore button if it works on messages as well as calls but it’s not specified in the instructions so I will update this if that fixes the issue.The instructions also don’t specify if you can connect more than 1 phone to the device at the same time which would be a handy feature.This is a great device if you work in a noisy shop or environment and you don’t want to miss calls or messages. Especially useful for hearing impaired and well designed for simple operation.
