Title: Scitec Red Wall Phone
Review: This phone had no reviews – risky! But, the price was right so I went for it. First, the phone is a richer red than the photo shows. It looks good – impressive, even. Second, the ring tickles me – it’s such an important sound! Third, the voice and hearing quality are excellent – clear, crisp, and yes, adjustable! Fourth, you do need the wall mount jack for this phone.While some reviews regarding OTHER BRAND phone models mention that troubles develop later on, I don’t feel that will happen here. These are made for “hotel” use and are expected to stand up to a lot of wear. From what I’ve experienced so far, I’m very pleased with this new phone.

Title: Perfect for what it was designed for and for what I used it for.
Review: Phone’s designed purpose: Hotel lobby courtesy/emergency phone, etc. – many such applications are OUTGOING only and no ringer needed, but many hotels, airports, train stations, etc. have “courtesy phones” where the facilities PA system is used to try to get the attention of a guest/traveler – i.e. “Mr. John Doe, Please dial 345 from the red courtesy phone in the lobby” – and the operator can then connect them to the calling party. Such phones would not have a need for a ringer volume adjustment and indeed would have a need to NOT to have one, else someone could fiddle with it and turn it down too low/too high.My use: I needed a wall phone to mount on the wall plate in the kitchen of my apartment to use for the door call-box and not for phone calls. I NEEDED a ringer to know when someone is calling our apartment from the door and otherwise, only needed the “9” button (to “buzz” the door latch open). This phone fit the bill for my needs perfectly.Note that I previously had purchased the AT&T 210 model phone (also from Amazon) and it was a real piece of junk. Yes, it cost 1/3rd as much as this one, but it broke after only a couple uses (the “hook” button broke and then the phone would not hang up). I had already discarded the box, so did not ask Amazon for a refund. I simply chucked it in the bin and then did some research to find a phone of the quality of the phones I remember from my childhood in Los Angeles in the 1970s where we had a big phone (similar to this one, but black with a rotary dial and a metal hook (this one has an acrylic hook). This phone is about the closest I could find without buying one from an auction site and I just did not want to mess with that. It’s true, they just don’t make things of high quality and intended to last forever like they used to.

Title: Mother in law
Review: My mother in law wanted a red wall phone for Christmas it was the only thing she really wanted so I went hunting for one locally and found them to be hard to find and wall phones are not in abundance. I found this on Amazon and was very pleased when it arrive it was of good quality and true to color.

Title: Static and background noise – BEWARE! No returns a month after purchase!
Review: I purchased this phone early as a Mother’s Day gift and was very disappointed when Mom called (from her cell phone) to tell me that the phone had a lot of static and screeching noises. We tried a different phone on their land-line and it worked fine, so…no problem with the line. I was further disappointed to find that there were NO RETURNS accepted one month after purchase. Really?!? Come on people! Would not recommend buying this product and will avoid buying from this vendor in the future!

Title: Not like they used to be…
Review: I got this for purely for sentimental reasons. But it’s cheap plastic. Not at all like how solid they were back in the day. The phone cord didn’t match the color of the phone. Two totally different reds. It works and it’s not the best sounding but I am not relying on it so I’ll keep it just for sentimental reasons. I like seeing it hanging on the wall in my kitchen.

Title: Looks good but not the same feel
Review: The cord is included, the description said that the cord is not included. This is confusing because if they meant the cord from the phone to the wall, then that is obvious because it is not set up that way. The handset fits funny in the holder, as if it was meant for a different model phone. The ringer is the bell type; however, it is not quite the iconic sound of an old phone. It is loud, time will tell if it is a volume that I can live with because I cant change it. It seems to be built to handle some abuse. All in all, it is what it is, it has the look and is close enough without scouring thrift shops.

Title: Best wall phone!
Review: Perfect for a wall phone that doesn’t drop on the floor every time you try to hang it up! Must be hung with the original wall mount used by the old Bell System wall phones. No whistles, just bells, great for non-tech folks too.
