Review: I am a deaf person who wears a hearing aid in one ear and a cochlear implant on the other ear. I was looking for a bluetooth phone to pair with my cellphone (iphone5) and my Compilot. The phone paired beautifully with my cellphone but it was not compatible with my Compilot which was a disappointment to me. What I do like about the phone is I can answer my cellphone with the handset of this phone and not have the cellphone on me. Because I do not always hear my cellphone ring, I would often miss a phone call but with it paired to this phone, I never miss a call when I am in the house. I have always had the cellphone in the same room when a cellphone call has come in so I don’t know if the cellphone can be in another room and still be able to receive a call on the Clarity . You can set the ringtones to be different so you know when it is a call from your cellphone versus the landline. I have not used the boost feature on this phone yet, as I have not needed it, so I can’t tell you how that works. The speaker phone is amply loud and I am able to understand conversations when I use it. I’ve only had this phone a week and so far I am pleased with it.

Title: Bluetooth Connection to your Cell Phone is a feature of little use.
Review: The Cellphone At Home allows you to make calls with or without a landline connection feature was confusing. Pair up to two Bluetooth phones, was misleading to me. This option allows you to pair your cell phone and use the Clarity 599 to make a cell phone call, as long as your cell phone is within a few feet. I don’t see the use in this. I was looking for a landline phone, blue tooth connected to my cell phone that would allow me to answer the landline call without having to go to the library where i 1 landline phone is located. sadly this is not the phone for that

Title: Disappointing sound level
Review: I bought this for an elderly relative on the premise that it had extra loud sound. It did not. A younger relative listened to it and said it had a very ordinary volume level.

Title: Useless to me plus misleading marketing
Review: I got this phone with the explicit goal of using it to make phone calls by means of a Bluetooth headset paired with the phone. I got the headset paired with the phone all right, and I can receive calls in my headset, if I happen to be wearing it when the call arrives. However, I am not able to make phone calls with the headset. I talked to Plantronics, only to be told to talk to Clarity. I talked to Clarity, and the first person I talked to insinuated that I was a moron for not being able to make calls – he just did not understand what I was saying. Somebody else from Clarity listened attentively, attempted to diagnose the problem, and said that he would research it – but he never got back to me. Finally, after engaging Plantronics again, I was told that the software in the phone does not provide support for outgoing calls with Bluetooth headsets. I feel I have been cheated, for there is nothing in the documentation or brochures to do with the phone to mention this rather important shortcoming.

Title: Good phone but doesn’t pair with high tech hearing aides.
Review: This is a great phone; however it doesn’t pair with my Stepdad’s hearing aides. Apparently, the technology of the hearing aides is TOO NEW for this phone. Customer service at Clarity is fantastic thought. The guy I spoke to tried everything and was super helpful but in the end the phone didn’t do what I wanted. It will pair easily with a cell phone so could be useful in ways other than what I originally bought it for which was to pair with hearing aides.
