Title: I’d Give It Six Stars If I Could!
Review: I bought this for Christmas for my “senior” sister who is both visually impaired and who wears hearing aids. On her previous phone it was hard for her to read the caller ID and see the numbers she was dialing. And she could not hear caller well. This phone is fantastic for her! I’d give it six stars if I could. The dial pad’s big numbers are perfect, the LED display is very bright with big letters and numbers and easy to read, and the receiver is crisp and clear and loud when she needs it to be. Perfect!I also gave her a Clarity expandable handset which does not need to be plugged into a phone jack and she loves it. She keeps the main handset plugged in next to her bed, and uses the expandable handset to have near her when she is watching TV or on her computer. She loves it.

Title: Buy the number of phones needed for your household at same time
Review: Item shipped promptly and well packaged. Arrived on time. Nice product. Purchased for its features: large numbers that are easy to read. Ringer is in a frequency that is easy to hear so can answer phone. Has answering machine feature that is a nice benefit. Like most phones caller ID is included. Speed dialing is a nice feature but can be difficult to use for the elderly as the sense of touch is diminished. Also those who have memory issues may not remember which speed dial is whom. Another feature is the speaker and boost that amplifies for those with hearing loss. This can be cumbersome for some as it takes some getting used to in using the boost feature. It turns off with every call and has to be adjusted each time. It would be nice if it stayed at the level so it would be easier to use. I want to mention that is important to purchase the number of phones needed to use in the household. I purchased only one thinking I could still use the other phone. That is NOT the case. So if buying more than one gives a discount, do it! I had to go back and buy another, and the price had increased since the initial purchase. even though it was less than 30 days. The 2nd phone does not have a phone connection so this is probably why I had to buy another phone; they were dependent on each other? Overall, this is a nice phone but I think the amplification could be clearer and louder as my other phone was better in that regard. Free shipping on this item is appreciated.

Title: Nice phone for the hard-of-hearing.
Review: Purchased this phone for my uncle who is terribly hard of hearing and wears hearing aids. We both love this phone. He can boost the volume so that he can hear now and have a conversation on the phone. He used to just hang up on people, so this is a nice improvement. This phone has real big numbers, so he can see them more easily. I have not found anything to dislike about this product. I am just pleased he has a phone he can hear with and seems to be happy with it.

Title: Speed dial will be hard to use for many elderly
Review: The manufacturer made and effort to simplify the phone and reduce buttons by incorporating the speed dial function into the numeric keypad. The caller simply holds down any number on the keypad and after a few seconds the phone dials the number that you programmed. This is a good idea in theory but not a good idea in practice. The keypad buttons are soft and mushy, giving no tactile feedback or click to tell when they are depressed and if you do not hold the key down for approximately 3-5 seconds it will not dial the speed dial number. My Mother just could not figure it out and panicked when she could not call me with speed dial like she did on her previous phone. The elderly often do not have the ability to disceern when a button is pressed and how hard to press it, and they cannot hold it down due to shakey hands. I will return this phone and search for one with a well lableled speed dial button that she can feel.

Title: Excellent for 85 Year Old with Arthritis and Hearing Loss
Review: I got this phone for my 85 year old mom who has arthritis and is hard of hearing. She loves the big buttons and the fact that the phone lights up making it easier to read. She also uses the “boost” button when she’s having a hard time hearing the conversation. The phone is simple to operate and my mom just needed some instruction on how to retrieve the call log and the speed dial numbers. I’m not sure if she’ll remember how to use these functions but the phone is perfect for her daily use and she really likes it. It also has a “find” button if she ever misplaces the handset which is an added bonus. It has a built-in answering machine although she prefers to use the one through her phone company. She purchased a couple different phones before this one that did not fit her needs at all so this one was a great buy and so perfect for my mom!!

Title: Not what you’re looking for
Review: This phone has poor sound quality, sounds like you are talking over and open radio airway, doesn’t hold a charge for long, can’t be taken as far from the base as any other phone-before it stops working, has interference if you are two walls away from the base, has a delay in conversation when you move away from the base so that you talk over each other, the volume on speaker, boost, of regular, is no different than any other phone. “Boost” is the same as having the speaker on at high volume. The only good thing about this phone is that it is white with large, black numbers that make it easy to see. It is very disappointing for my 86 year od father who is sight and hearing impaired. This is NOT with the money!

Title: Big numbers, loud ring, PERFECT!
Review: Got this phone for my 89 year old aunt who is legally blind and hard of hearing. She says it works great for her and she can actually hear it ringing, as well as see the keys well enough to dial. It must be easy to use because technology confounds her and she has had no trouble!
