Review: The lenses are glass, but the magnification seems to be closer to 3X than to 10X. Each magnifying glass came in a small box: since the plastic cases do not seem very durable, I plan to use the boxes as long as possible. Of the 5 I received, only one had some minor scratches in the lens. I wanted something portable to help my husband and me see small print, so I am happy with this purchase.

Title: Good convenient magnifier
Review: These work really well for my purposes with aid in reading fine print on packaging in stores.I don’t like carrying glasses so this is a nice convenient option.Have one in my pocket at all time and it compact enough that I don’t realize it’s there.The protective sheath works really well at keeping the lens from scratching.Magnification is adequate for reading most items, if using for a hobby or really fine print you might want something stronger.Price is good and would order again!

Title: False Magnification Rating
Review: Reviewer VolRay was being kind. I carefully worked out the magnification factor of these units and found it to clearly be between 1.5 and 2 X power. This is a very low level of magnification. If someone is interested in using these for reading, it may be enough. But if your goal is more demanding like mine, (to be able to quickly assess with a small and portable glass whether tiny dots my dog’s paws are nymph ticks that need to be immediately removed), look elsewhere. As well, note that all of the delivered glasses were quite dirty.
