Title: Incredible On-the-Go Communication Tool – High Quality, Thoughtfully Designed, and Truly Helpful
Review: I purchased this visual aid communication book to use with my 5-year-old daughter during travel and car rides. At home, she relies on a wooden visual schedule for her routines, which helps her stay grounded and on task. But when we’re out for the day or taking longer trips (which we’ve been doing a lot lately), I needed something portable, durable, and just as effective—and this book has absolutely delivered. My daughter is in ABA therapy after being diagnosed as on the autism spectrum, so having the right tools to support her communication, routines, and transitions is really important for us. This book gives her the structure and predictability she needs, even when we’re away from home. What makes this product even more special is that it was created by a UK-based mum and former teacher, through her company Create Visual Aids. I love that it was developed by someone who truly understands the needs of children and families, and it’s made to UK educational standards—which, in my opinion, often surpass what we get here in the U.S..The quality is outstanding. The book is spiral-bound and travel-sized (A5), making it easy to keep in the car or tuck into a bag. The pages and visual cards are made from thick, waterproof, non-tear material—like a durable plastic that doesn’t crease and holds up to frequent use. The VELCRO® Brand hook and loop fasteners are strong but easy for little hands to manage. My daughter can independently remove and place visuals without trouble, and there’s a storage page in the back to keep everything organized. This compact book includes six essential visual tools:• Today is (with days of the week cards)• I Am Feeling (with 9 emotion visuals)• My Daily Routine (a small visual timetable)• Now, Next & Then• I Want (for expressive communication)• 18 activity-based visual symbols (like get dressed, snack, bath, bedtime, etc.)These visuals allow my daughter to feel more calm and in control when we’re on the go by offering consistency and structure, which will help reduce anxiety surrounding lack of control and help her not be so dysregulated when we are out, helping her stay focused. They support both expressive and receptive communication—giving her some control while I still maintain overall control, and helping her understand what’s coming next. I especially like the use of The Beanies, cute characters that are friendly and adorable, made just for kids.Everything about this book shows it was created with neurodiverse children in mind. Whether your child has autism, ADHD, speech delays, or sensory processing differences, this is a powerful tool for supporting communication and emotional regulation.I truly can’t recommend it enough—this is a high-quality, thoughtfully designed communication resource that is great for making outings and transitions so much easier. It’s the perfect on-the-go solution and a wonderful support for development.

Title: Good Educational Tool
Review: I ordered this set for myself three year old, and here are my thoughts:- This is about the same size as a small notebook, perfect for a toddler or child’s hands.- It includes multiple different ways of communication in well detailed little pictures. Sometimes I use different words to describe the pictures shown to help my kiddo understand a bit more easily, but it functions as it should.- Having a rough and tumble kind of kid, I’ve noticed that the pieces seem to hold up well to my toddler’s roughness with them.- At the current cost of $30.00, I’d say it’s maybe a bit off a high price, but the educational value makes it almost worth it!

Title: Great introduction to visual communication
Review: I use this for my 2 y/o. This is a well made, useful book. My toddler’s speech therapist recommended I make something similar to help with communication, but I haven’t had the time quite yet to throw something together, laminate it and attach velcro all while hoping it’s toddler proof. This book was a great option for instant exposure. The book is very strong, durable and waterproof. I let my toddler handle it, but not play with it for extended periods. The velcro has held up (but does attract pet hair and fuzz). There is a range of cards for various ages for example cards ranging from diaper changes to cards communicating the days of the week. I have picked a select few cards to try out with my toddler that I think they will understand, and store the rest in a bag. With only a few brief sessions with the cards, my toddler has already demonstrated understanding. We are currently working on communicating a visual schedule. Not all aspects of the book are useful for us at this stage, so I am being creative with it. But I think as my toddler grows, we will incorporate more. I understand that this book is not intended solely for a 2 y/o, but I do wish there were more cards geared toward toddlers or that there were maybe an expansion pack. I like the simplicity of some illustrations but wish some others were a little more clear, specifically the emotion illustrations. This book is a great starting point. There are also apps on my iPad that do something similar but I like the instant availability and tactility of these cards.

Title: Compact, yet thorough!
Review: My daughter’s speech therapist recently recommended a visual calendar for her. I originally ordered a large one to keep in her room or play area. It worked well, but it definitely needs to stay put because it’s so large. I love that this one is so compact. It literally closes up into a small sized notebook, so I can include in her bag when we go out or travel. I was able to bring it along with us to therapy, so her therapist could help use it with her. Overall, very happy and pleasantly surprised with how much we use and like this item!

Title: Great communication tool
Review: This is amazing!!! Whether the person is non-verbal, needing another communication method or simply a visual representation. This has very nice thick pages and easy travel size. The velcro pieces are fantastic for easy on and off selections. The images are clear and have words which is fantastic.
