Title: Excellent to keep sunglasses on your head
Review: Easy to use and attach to your sunglasses.I personally did not find the length too short – it was easy to get over my head even with a ponytail. It was a little tight, but nothing I thought twice about. I tightened these about midway down the ear pieces so if I had moved them back, I would have had more space.I’ve used them for tennis and also in the ocean, tightening them up on the back so they they didn’t slide off. In both situations (even getting sweaty or hit by a big wave) they stayed on my head. They feel off around my neck once in the ocean but definitely kept them from getting lost!They are lightweight and don’t get in my way at all.

Title: Croakies are great!
Review: I found what I was looking for! An adjustable retainer that fits the 1mm wide metal shaft of my glasses. The connector fits the shaft tight, no slipping. The connector loop is a tiny rubber band with a hard plastic slider that allows it to fit almost any width shaft. It’s amazing how well the rubber grips the shaft. Also, the plastic adjuster slider on the back of the strap, moves very smoothly. This means that I don’t have to struggle with my arthritic fingers to move it up and down. Now on my icebreaker trip to the arctic, I can tighten the strap when I am in a zodiac boat going ashore, and when I am ashore, I can lengthen the strap so I can lower my glasses to see my LCD screen of my camera. Perfect!

Title: Good for what I needed
Review: In case the product listing changes, this is a review for Croakies Terra Spec Cords Adjustable Sport Eyewear Retainer (24 inches, Black) – Sold by: Amazon.com Services LLC, purchased in 2018.Good for what I needed – it held onto glasses tightly. I usually swim with my glasses in the pool and they don’t come off, but I wanted to be extra sure I wouldn’t lose them in the ocean or lake. This worked well for metal frames with slightly thicker ends, but the rubber-like attachment points were secured well and did not slide around at all anyway.After falling into a dirty river while paddling, I wasn’t confident I could clean the woven cord-like strap thoroughly enough so I decided to just buy a replacement, it looks like there is a different seller now (not listed as directly from Amazon) but they seem very similar even though I don’t have the old packaging.

Title: I love them, my wife doesn’t
Review: I needed sunglass holders because I dont like to wear sunglasses on the back on my head, on the top of my head or dangling from the neck of my shirt. Guess what? These Croakies fit the bill, they handled any size sunglass arm with ease. They were comfortable around the neck, and they made me look cool. I am writing in the past tense because my wife thought they looked silly and hid them from me. Now I am back to wearing the sunglasses on top of my head, back of my head.. dangling from my shirt. Not cool.

Title: The length is short
Review: I got this retainer because my old one kept slipping off. It grips the temples very well and is adjustable. The string itself appears strong. What I don’t like is its length which is uncomfortably short, only 10.5 inches on each side. For people with big heads and thick necks, it will definitely will be too short as it is for me. The string length needs to be at least 4 inches longer, which will add 2 inches on each side of the string attached to the temples. See picture attached. That is why 3 stars.

Title: Second pair- gets the job done!
Review: This is the second retainer I am ordering. My plan is to keep one in the car (b/c I forget mine quite often :)). I bought my first pair 9/2013 and use it all the time for running (nose gets sweaty and glasses slip down w/o retainer) and yoga (it’s great for keeping my glasses on in downward dog and other inverted poses). The one potential negative for some people is that the strap is a bit on the small side, but it is absolutely adjustable (I’m not sure why one reviewer said it’s not, maybe he has an extra big head :)). The strap length has not bothered me, though, b/c I like that there is not excess fabric hanging down in back. Also, I use these with rather large frames/handles and it works perfectly.

Title: Why so short??? 🤷🏼♀️
Review: Like other reviewers have said these are WAY. TOO. SHORT! And they have a sliding clip on the back end to make them even shorter? Get real!!! They are made well but they’re just too short. The only thing they are good for is to cut the rubber grips off the ends and put them on something else that’s longer and more comfortable. That is what I did because the grips are definitely the best I have found and I can’t find them in replacement packs, I only ever see those thin, cheaply made grips that NEVER stay gripped. These grips don’t slip off like the cheap ones that you find everywhere else so it was kind of expensive to replace the grips on my old bead style Croakie which I still prefer. But there you have it.
