Review: A very attractive magnifying glass. Heavy and well built. Out of the box I had to attach the handle, which needed some minor work to make it fit tight. The biggest issue is a fog on the glass that I have not been able to clean off.

Title: Definitely helps with very fine print!
Review: I wanted a magnifying glass to help with tiny print that appears to be getting smaller all the time, and this magnifying glass does that. The glass provides a clear image without any distortion! I also wanted a beautiful one with a nice wood handle as plastic is everywhere and this one has a wonderful wooden handle in different styles! It’s hefty so you are getting a great product and not a thin piece of glass!

Title: Perfect for intended use
Review: Purchased two of these, one for my wife and one for myself. I needed a good magnifying glass because my cheap plastic one was getting too scratched up to use. I fix watches, collect coins and build models as hobbies and the small parts were getting too hard to see, so this fit the bill perfectly when examining small pieces. I got a second one for my visually impaired wife so she can actually read the small print on labels, etc.. Again, she was very happy with hers.The glass is heavy, the handle seems solid and the glass lens does what it is supposed to. It is much larger than the photos on the web site seem, so I was pleasantly surprised by the large size and weight to this magnifier. I am not sure that it really magnifies 10x, but the field of vision is clear and sharp. As some others stated, the center of the glass extends beyond the metal rim so if you lay the glass down unprotected on a table, the lens will touch the table, but not a problem as we put a soft cloth around the lens when we’re done with it.Very pleased with purchase and at the very fair price I paid, if this broke or got lost I would buy again.

Review: Ein richtig schönes Stück Mechanik und dazu noch in schöner Vintage-Anmutung. Man hat auch schon haptisch das Gefühl, etwas Ordentliches in der Hand zu halten. Das Glas ist einwandfrei, kein Plastikmüll, die Vergrößerung passt: Sie ist gleichmäßig über die große Lupenfläche wirkend.Anmutung und Funktion sind also in Summe sehr gut.Kritikpunkt? Wenn überhaupt, dann dieser: Der Griff und dessen Endstück sind mittels einer innenliegenden Gewindestange am Messingringstück befestigt. Dreht man am Endstück, so kann man das alles auseinanderschrauben. Soweit, so gut. Jedoch hätte die Gewindestange 5 mm länger sein können, um eine sozusagen “dauerhaft gebrauchssichere” Befestigung zu erzielen. Man sollte also hin und wieder prüfen, ob alles auch wirklich fest sitzt oder man fixiert die Teile z.B. mit Sekundenkleber.
